Whether you prefer square or round this set of bowls w/ lids has you covered...

I'm always on the hunt for a good set of storage bowls – be they glass, stainless steal, plastic, or silicone. Obviously this set of 6 glass bowls and plastic lids fits that description perfectly. These bowls come in two different shapes – square and round – each in 3 different sizes. The bowls seems to be well made with glass that is nice and thick but not clunky. The lids may say they are blue but mine are a pretty minty green color. They snap on/off fairly easily thanks to two tab-like fingerholds that have been added. Now, I didn't see any silicone gaskets in mine but most of the lids do fit pretty tightly – a couple of them were looser. Washing these is quite simple with the lid being handwash only and the bowl can either be handwashed as well or can go in the dishwasher. We handwash all of our dishes anyway so there were no issues there. I do like this set of bowls with lids and am getting plenty of use out of them, they work great for leftovers or you can make food directly in them. Unfortunately I discovered the hard way that they do not hold up to dropping and now my set of 6 is a set of 5 – however it's not exactly their fault as no storage bowl would have survived except for steel or silicone. So, my advice is to avoid hard falls with these these bowls and enjoy all of the yummy food that you can store in them...

Quality storage that takes up very little space

I've always had mostly plastic storage containers but I am slowly replacing the plastic ones with glass. They are better for so many reasons that I'm sure you already know. I have quite a few glass storage containers as well, but these are my new favorite by far for a couple of reasons... You can see in the description that there are 4 square and 4 round containers. If you look at the photos, you will see they stack beautifully - so they take up very little room in my kitchen cabinets. Also, the containers are substantial - you can see how thick the glass is when you look at the top view of them in the photos. Each container has a lid with tabs on opposite sides to make it easier to open the closed container. I have glass containers and it is sometimes hard to trust that you have the lid on properly. These lids feel secure when I close them, so to test it, I filled a container with homemade tomato sauce... I tried to lift it by the 2 tabs on the lid only, and I successfully lifted it - the bottom glass container full of sauce did not fall even though I was only holding the tabs. That sealed the deal for me - they are quality containers and they don't take up much space.

Well-Made and Handy Storage Container Set

I chose these particular containers because we needed more lockable lid containers and I very definitely prefer glass to plastic. This looked like a good set and I took a chance. So far, I have been very happy with them. They seem to be made well and they have a couple of nice features. I specifically wanted these for storage, but because these are made of borosilicate glass they can actually go in the oven without trouble. In theory, they can go from freezer to hot oven without shattering, which is a problem with coke lime glassware. I have not tested this yet but I like having the option. The lids are plastic so it should be very obvious that they're not oven safe. The lids are not quite what I expected. I thought these would be similar to lock-and-lock style lids, and they're not. Instead, these are snug with with an easy to grab lip that makes popping them off easier. They fit snugly but not super-tight, and when closing them they make a satisfying snap when they close. There are six containers with lids in the set. These are on the small side so you're not going to get a lot of leftovers in these, even using the largest ones, but these are a good size for storing modest amounts of foods. The largest two are good for larger lunch-sized portions. Half of these are round and half are square. They stack nicely, too. We really like this set and will get a good bit of use from them. I like that they can go from freezer to oven (in theory, and without lids), I like that the lids fit nicely and seal well, and the sizes are handy.

This pack is a 12 piece set( lids are counted too), so you receive 6 containers and 6 lids. The glass containers come in 2 shapes, round and square and each shape comes in 3 different sizes. Both the containers and lids are stackable, hence they are space saving. The lids do not have any airtight seal, they do seal ok but not super tight, they are used to just cover the food in the container, and make a click sound when pressed onto the container( that means they are sealed good). With the set I received one of the square lids of the large container doesn’t fit properly, so that’s a bummer. The glass bowls are oven safe, microwave and dishwasher safe but the lids are not safe in any of those, and they are hand wash only. These containers cannot be used for taking it to lunch since they are not leak proof. They are good for storing leftovers in the fridge and for everyday use without taking much space, and for reheating the food in the microwave.

The high gloss shiny lids look fancy when new, but this PP material will scratch very easily after use because of this glossy finish. These containers cannot be used for taking it to lunch since they are not leakproof. They are good for storing leftovers in the fridge and for everyday use without taking up much space, and for reheating food in the microwave.
