Great Features but Uncomfortable :-(

I was excited when I first read about the Thule Rail hip pack and ordered one as soon as they were released. I was eager to to try a hip pack as a cooler solution to a standard hydration pack for MTB rides. First the positives: The pack has a lot of great feature and seems very well built. I especially liked the magnetic hose retainer sleeve. It is probably the best hose solution I've seen for hip pack. It requires very little effort to put it back in place and the magnetic sleeve offers much better retention than the single magnet found on most hip packs. Size was also good for shorter rides with a nice phone sleeve and just enough storage for the essentials. Unfortunately, the pack fall short in two areas. First is the bladder. Thule went cheap and didn't include a bladder with a disconnect. It makes it a little more difficult to fill than a bladder you can disconnect. Not a major inconvenience but I did find it annoying. My major gripe with the pack and the reason I returned it was because it was just plain uncomfortable. Not matter how I positioned it; above the hips or at the hips, the pack dug in when the bladder was full. The waist belt really doesn't have any padding and it's very noticeable when the pack is loaded. It's really too bad. Otherwise it's a nice hip pack.

Well built and for sure worth the money! Okay quality Thule product!

The pack is extremely comfortable, adjustable and holds everything I need it to carry. I barely notice that I’m wearing it even with 2 bottles in the pack!

DECEPCION SOLAMENTE

Soy fiel comprador de esta marca, por su resistencia y durabilidad. Pero este producto no se adapta a las caracteristicas de su descripcion. Les explico: Si pones el celular en el espacio externo, ocupa tanto espacio que no te deja poner casi nada adentro. Trate de poner mi cartera y las llaves dentro y mi celular afuera y es super incomodo abrir y poder sacar algo con el puesto a tu cintura. Para lograrlo debes quitartelo sacar lo que necesitas y volver a ponertelo.... no es comodo y no es lo que uno desea al estar haciendo ejercios!!! Por lo que cuesta, deberian haber realizado las pruebas antes de fabricarlo....

Meets The Quality Standards You Expect When Purchasing A Thule Product

I am a huge fan of Thule and own many products manufactured by the company. You know you are going to pay a premium when you purchase the Thule brand, but the quality you receive never fails to disappoint! This hip pack is no exception! I also own the Thule Rail Backpack and it is equally as impressive! PROS: (1) The magnetic strip which secures the hose is the best solution I've ever seen by any manufacturer. The hose grips perfectly to the magnetic strip every single time, with virtually no effort by the user. With this system, you can easily grab a drink with just one hand while hiking or riding your bike. (2) The bladder is larger than expected, given the compact size of the pack. The bladder is made of durable material which should last for years without leaking. I do with there was an option to remove the bladder from the pouch for filling and cleaning, but it's not a terrible inconvenience to have it attached. (3) Despite being a relatively small pack overall, there is a ton of storage space for your personal items, even when the bladder is full. There is plenty of room to fit a cell phone, keys, small wallet, hairbrush, glasses, and a few snacks along with the filled bladder. (4) The item description does not mention water resistance, but I briefly ran the pack under my kitchen faucet and it held up well, with no water escaping into the compartments. It should do well in light to medium rain situations. (5) The materials used to construct this pack are all very durable and should last for years, with normal use. (6) I am 5'4", 155 pounds. My husband is 6', 250 pounds. We both found this pack comfortable to wear when it wasn't stuffed to capacity. When it was weighted-down with a full bladder and other supplies, I wished it had a little padding around the waist, but it didn't bother my husband at all. CONS: (1) The bladder is not removable for easy filling and cleaning. (2) The addition of some padding on the waist would be appreciated, particularly when the pack is weighted down. Overall, you can put your trust in this Thule hip pack just like you do in all Thule products. It's a great addition to the Thule line.

Tamaño necesario, buena compra.

Elegí esta cangurera despues de checar otras opciones, la ocupare principalmente para rodadas en bicicleta de montaña y ciudad, la calidad de materiales supera a sus competidores, se siente robusta sin ser estorbosa, los espacios son suficientes para una camara de bicicleta, kit basico de herramientas, celular, cartera, snacks y un cargador para celular. Si buscas más espacio deberias escalar a la version siguiente pero si te gusta viajar ligero esta es la cangurera ideal.

No es válida para todas las personas

La calidad de los materiales parece muy alta, buenos acabados. El pero es que simplemente probándola en casa (dando unos saltos) se baja rápidamente: no es apta para personas de baja estatura (mi caso) porque incluso ciñéndola al máximo no se ajusta (llegas al máximo) y es muy grande.

Excelente calidad, mal ajuste

Siempre he sido fiel usuario de la marca en mochilas, por eso me animé a usar esta bolsa para mis salidas de MTB. La bolsa en si es de excelente fabricación, la calidad es superior sin embargo, el ajuste de la bolsa no ha funcionado bien en mi cuerpo. Constantemente tengo que estar ajustando la cinta de velcro pues se va desacomodando o se desajusta, además las cintas se van aflojando. Me hubiera gustado también que tuviera más espacio, ya que con agua llena, el espacio es casi nulo para otras cosas. Recomiendo mas la bolsa de CamelBack.

Vergonzoso

Por el alto precio que tiene la thule rail 4 y la calidad que thule quiere ponen en el producto, es inconcebible que recorte presupuesto en la bolsa de hidratacion y que no le pongan conector rápido para separar el tubo de agua de la bolsa y así poder limpiar y manipular bien. Ahora es como las bolsas de bajo precio con una riñonera de alto precio... Ridículo!
