Perfect for travel
Folds up so thin, perfect for throwing in my suitcase. The mat is too thin for me to want to use it at home but I love how lightweight it is, it’s pretty grippy, and it’s a great length.

For the frequent yogi
I'm in love with my new Manduka mat, beautiful quality and very light weight. It's thin which I personally like but I wouldn't recommend for anyone with knee complaints. I also get clammy hands and had a hard time gripping during a reasonably warm class, I got a more intense shoulder/arm work-out as I had to work harder to not slip. *I'll update review once I've travelled with it also.

Perfect Travel Mat
I purchased this mat for a two-week international trip to do yoga in my hotel room. I wanted something that was able to fit into a checked bag, wouldn't bunch during use and provided a good grip. This mat was a perfect fit for a 25" checked bag so that I was able to loosely lay it on top without having to make any creases and the weight was minimal. The mat quality was top notch and the rubber texture provided excellent grip. I don't have particularly sensitive knees, so the 1.5mm cushion was sufficient on both carpet and harder floor surfaces. At home I use a Lululemon Reversible Mat which provides 5mm of cushion and has an open-cell surface that absorbs moisture, whereas the Manduka is 1.5mm and has a closed-cell surface to prevent moisture from being absorbed. Even with the mat being closed-cell I never experienced any issues with slipping, though I can see it being problematic if you sweat a lot or if you're doing hot yoga. The closed-cell construction is similar to the Manduka Pro and ProLite, so if you've used those mats you know what to expect and likely have a towel handy for hot yoga. I suspect most of the negative reviews about slipping are from people who are unfamiliar with Manduka mats. The most direct competitor to this mat would be the Jade Voyager which sells at a similar price point and is also 1.5mm; however it's a full 3 inches shorter (68" vs 71"). Being on the taller side, I dislike practicing on shorter mats so the Manduka won out in that aspect. Additionally I was able to see a Voyager at a local retailer and didn't feel like the build quality was as good as the Manduka. Other options include the Manduka Pro Travel Mat 2.5mm (~$75) and the Jade Travel Yoga Mat 3mm (~$70). These mats offer additional padding if you need a mat that's softer on your knees; however they also weight more (2.4lbs and 3lbs respectively). Overall, I think the Manduka EKO Superlite finds the perfect balance for size, weight, and grip for anyone looking to bring their yoga practice with them on their travels.

If You Sweat, At All, Do Not Buy This Mat.
The lightweight, thinness, length, and reviews of the mat led me to purchase it for my upcoming travels overseas. It feels pretty grippy when it's dry, but as soon as any moisture builds up, the mat becomes an injury waiting to happen. Downward dog? Hands slip. Dolphin pose? Forearms slip. Couldn't even do wheel pose because my hands slipped and now have a sore wrist. I won't even try to do more advanced inversions because there's too great a risk for injury. The untrusting feeling left me distracted during my last and final class with this mat. I'll assume the same method to make it grippy is used on the other Manduka mats and will not buy another one ever again. Feedback for the company - if you're seeing complaints about the smell, why don't you come up with a solution to air them out before you mail them to your customers? It's quite unpleasant and needs to be addressed. I've aired this mat out for 4 days and still has a strong smell to it.

Great length
It’s long, lays flat and is not toxic. It exceeded my expectations.

Good Matt for yoga
Is a good material but the only downside of it is the extremely rubber odor. Light weight. It does the job

Perfect for travelling!
Bought this mat so that I can practice anywhere I travel... and it works perfectly. I keep reading about the smell of the mat being an issue and, frankly, if the smell is what you have to worry about during a yoga session, then you are blessed. I tend to have all kinds of other distractions like loud sounds, people, and small spaces... but hey, live your life. What I love about this mat is that it is foldable and fits in most carry-ons. AND you can unfold it and any creases disappear during use and can be eliminated with a quick roll-up. Which it does easily. It is stickier than my other mat (by Gaiam) and I can easily grip the mat and do everything I do on my regular mat. I find that it works best on hard floors. The grip on carpeting or towels does not work as well. I used it on a carpet and it kept sliding, so I moved to a brick floor and it worked wonderfully. That being said, if you need cushioning in your mat, this is not it. This is thin! Which is why I like it. I do have some sensitivity in my knees, but after a few uses of the mat, I hardly noticed it.

Coup de cœur
J’adore ce tapis ! Excellente qualité , bonne « grip» et prend peu de place . Il est très mince alors je l’utilise seulement en voyage mais pour cet usage, il dépasse mes attentes !

High Quality Yoga Mat
I liked my Manduka mat so much, I bought this one for my Wife. Thin, so you can feel the ground. If you like a Yoga mat with a lot of cushioning (I don’t, personally), this is not the mat for you. I find that thin mats make it easier to balance. Because of the natural material it’s made from, when I lay it out, it doesn’t curl up at the ends. Very good grip from the rubber.

Very slippery, use with caution
I bought this for a trip. It's the perfect size and weight for travel, but sooo slippery it's hard to use! I have to use a towel to keep my hands from slipping in downward dog and despite my years of practicing yoga I don't feel very confident at all while using this mat. I hope I can break it in with more use but so far really not impressed and would not recommend. I wish I would have gone with a different product instead.

Exactly as expected.
Thin as hell. Reasonably sticky (when your hands are dry). Bit on the heavier side since it's basically a thin slab of rubber. Overall very happy with my new mat and use it daily while I'm away from home. If I could knock it for something.. it would be that it gets very easily dirty when you rub your skin against it. Because of the material, it'll grip your skin/dirt very well. So I have to wipe it clean after each session (but you don't have to.. it's out of preference).
