Replacement Parts for Older Riding Lawn Mower
This product (which is a deck spindle) was purchased for an older riding lawn mower that has seen extensive use. Not only did Amazon.com make finding the replacement part of a Arnold Deck Spindle easy it was fast and efficient. We are very pleased with not only Amazon but the seller of the Arnold Deck Spindle for sending the replacement part so quickly. No instructions were needed in order to replace the old part with the new one. It was a simple fix to a difficult problem. If you are looking for a place to shop for older replacement parts I would highly recommend this site. We have a Troy Built Pony Riding Lawn Mower that is about 7 -8 years old. It has seen it's wear and tear throughout our vast property and we were not looking forward to having to replace the entire mower as it would have been in the thousands to do so. With the purchase of an Arnold Deck Spindle we are able to get yet another year, and perhaps even another season, of use out of our riding mower. Amazon is great for no matter what you are in need of. The prices are fantastic and their connections are wonderful. Highly Recommended!

Mtd replacement spindle
This spindle came in a Mtd oem box which said it was a genuine factory part. I see different comments about the spindle on here saying that the bolt holes aren't threaded, but this for the self tapping bolts that come in the box with it.The bolts just need a little lubricant on them and they go right in. I guess self tapping bolts hold better over time in a mower deck than regular bolts would have. It has been a month with the new spindle in, and so far it has been great.

Right spindle, but untapped holes
This blade spindle is nearly perfect. It just doesn't have the holes tapped to mount like the original. Rather than buying a kit to tap it or pay a shop to do it, I bought some longer bolts and washers and just fed them all the way through. I mowed 3 times with it attached like that and everything worked perfectly, so I'm not worried. If my other original spindle gets stripped too, I'll do the same thing on that side!

Perfect fit
Ok the design and fit was PERFECT for my 2004-2005 Troy Bilt Pony. The price was certainly cheaper than the local parts store who had to order it as well. Having to bore in the shrews was difficult. I assume the parts are delivered to dealers with this design.

Drill out holes a little and use Stainless nuts and bolts
It was easier to drill out the holes and use Stainless Steel nuts and bolts to mount the spindle. I figure this was better for if I ever have to remove it, they bolts wouldn't be rusted on. Perfect fit for my mower and about $35 less than from the manufacturer of the mower.

Good product. People have questioned the threads in the holes. The bolts are self tapping. Just apply some pressure and some lubrication and they will screw in.

It fit perfect. I ended up ordering two and they both took longer to arrive than told at the time of the order.
