Perfect for my son!
Perfect for what I was looking for, for my son. The top part where you place the ball is rubber and not plastic like the one he had prior. Would definitely buy again!

The nuts and bolts will not last.
We have had to replace nuts and bolts with push pin rivets since they all will break. Also the plastic wingnut will break

Durable Tees
I bought 3 of these for my daughter's softball team. They are just learning to hit so often will hit the tee instead of the ball. Each of the three tees has taken the abuse without issue and held up strong. They travel really well in the softball equipment bag folding up nice and slim. The girls have no trouble setting them up and adjusting them on their own. Most of them are 9 or 10 years old so that simplicity is very helpful. In my 4 years of coaching, these are the best tees I have had and at current durability, should be the first ones to last multiple years.

Issues with the screws on the tripod part
I purchased two of these to be used by a 12u fast pitch travel softball team. Out of the boxes, they seemed nice, although one was missing the protective cap on the end of a leg. Upon first use, one of them lost the screw that holds the support for the tripod legs to the main shaft. The parts disappeared into the grass never to be found again, so I replaced it with a screw/nut I happened to have in my garage. I then proceeded to tighten all of those screws on both tees. Not that easy to do because there's not enough room to get to the nuts to hold while turning the screw. Very next time, another screw fell out. This time it was on dirt so I was able to see all the pieces and get them picked up. Fixed that one, tightened everything again. Next time out, another one fell off. Pretty much every time we use these, a screw falls out. Without the screw, the tripod won't hold it's shape and stand upright properly. I think I'm going to have to use some superglue on the nuts so they won't keep coming undone and falling out. If not for this constant hassle, I would rate these a 5 as they are nice otherwise. The height is very adjustable and will cover pretty much any height of batter.

Excellent tee unless you are afraid of basic hand tools
So, lets just get out of the way that the reviews that say the screws and bolts on the base are accurate, and will loosen up as you open and close the tee which is pretty dumb design. That being said, it takes a Phillips screwdriver and needle-nose pliers and two minutes to tighten them, and a little attention to tighten them occasionally as they loosen. Given, you get a tee for less than $20 that is actually pretty sturdy once set (the wide base makes it pretty hard to knock over with a slightly off swing) and is able to collapse to easily fit inside a travel bag. Given that there are tees for sale on here for 4x the price, I'll deal with the very small issue of having to tighten screws.

Perfect for traveling with
This is perfect for our softball team to take to games and practices. It folds up very easily and is lightweight. I highly recommend this!!

Lower clamp does not hold. Doesn’t even remotely come close. Plastic wing nuts bend or break when trying to clamp down when extended.

Good Tee
