Comfortable

This is a great base layer. In early Fall it can be the only layer but as the cold seasons progress it can remain the first layer you put on; it fits well with various layers of wool--other base layers or outer--shirts. It's the one that fits me best. I'm short, slim, and like things loose so I get a size larger. Highly recommended.

Five stars, awesome!

This shirt is absolutely great as a base layer for cold weather. It feels like a thick heavyweight knit cotton on the skin, but is 100% synthetic. It dries EXTREMELY fast when wet and is great at wicking moisture away. I wore it skiing and got it very sweaty; it dried completely in about 20 minutes when I took off my outer jacket at lunchtime. It also didn't smell like BO at all by the end of the first day, so I was actually able to wear it a second day in a row just fine (despite having other options packed, it is such a great shirt and far & away the best base layer I own now). As other reviewers have mentioned, the sleeves are a little too short. It also does run snug since the fabric doesn't have a ton of stretch, but that is exactly what you want for a base layer. I'm 5'7", 160lb for reference and ordered a medium which is my normal size in most tops, it fit me very tight to the skin but was not uncomfortable at all. If you prefer a loser fit I recommend to size up; as a tight base layer it is pretty true to size. Bottom line...get this! You will not regret it. I am probably going to buy another and see if they make a men's version to get my boyfriend.

Works great - maybe Large, next time

Function: excellent! Been out in "teen" temps with constant breeze and felt warm. Fit: snug and smallish! I'm an solid size 8/medium, even after clothing go through laundry shrinkage. Due to fabric's super tight weave and the "duofold" feature, fit translates on the small side. Length of the top is long which is great. Oddity: seams are not on the sides but two in front (over each breast) and in back (over each shoulder blade) and the seams would rub my skin and cause itching or tickling. Has improved with laundering/wear, but every now and then I still go nuts trying to reach my shoulder blades to relieve and itch. Buy again? You betcha and will go up a size to large. FYI: bought large for the bottoms and am very glad I did!. So put your vanity aside and consider buying larger, especially if you typically are between sizes.

Duofold never fails

I've been buying Duofold since the 1980s, and it's tried and true. This is my latest addition. I have found that buying up one size is the way to go with Duofold--I'm 129 lbs and 34B, typically would wear a Small, ordered a Medium and it's perfect. This shirt is heavy enough to be a great base layer, and the fitted element (princess seams), give it a nice shape.

Warm, snug fit

I wear this on its own for indoor temperatures in the mid 60s. Fit is snug with some stretch. Sleeves are a hair shorter than I'd like (see the image that Amazon provides, the sleeves are above her wristbone), but not a problem. I do wish that the top itself were 3" longer, or more, so that it would reach below my hip bones. If I wear jeans around my hip, the shirt leaves a gap for cold air. Very uncomfortable. I do have a long waist, but even if I didn't, a bit more length would be helpful. However, my purpose is usually as a base layer under several more layers for working outside. I wear enough long underwear, snow pants and longer shirts to compensate for this. Despite the shortness, it's still my favorite shirt for layering, based on its thickness, while still remaining stretchy and comfortable.

Snug but didn't restrict movement

Bought this to keep in my disaster go bag. It's soft, very fitted and since I have larger hips\bottom, it wants to roll up a little on me. But I didn't buy it to look good, but to be warm. It'll be tucked into snow pants anyway. It's warm and would not add extra bulk under clothes. While it was very fitted, it didn't seem to restrict my movement at all. 5' 6" 160lbs. Probably wouldn't fit anyone with bigger measurements than me: 31" waist, 38" bust. I'd recommend it and I'd buy it again.

Fit like a glove, kept me warm

Bought it for a trip to the mountains where it is 40s in the day & 30s at night. It kept me warm as expected. Now the fit - I'm between a L & XL depending on the brand. I ended up buying an XL & it fit me like a glove - not tight but also no room to wear say another shirt underneath. Thermal are suppose to fit snug, as it's purpose is to trap your body heat. So, be honest with your body size. If you are a larger "L", then I'd order XL. If you are a smaller "L" then order a L. I ordered both & returned 1 of them.

Met the criteria!

Light weight, comfortable and warm! I took the advice of other reviewers and ordered a size larger. Thermals are meant to be close to your skin. Getting one size up fit perfect with a little bit of extra wiggle room.

It was bigger than expected, and it sort of comes out in the knee area after being worn for line 10 mins. However, it makes me feel worm.

La tela viene doble, por lo tanto se siente más gruesa pero no es demasiado, la verdad cubre bastante bien, en mi área de trabajo hay demasiado frío por lo tanto me ayuda bastante! Lo volveré a comprar si lo recomiendo
