Pretty much like the sleeve of a high quality sweatshirt.
The media could not be loaded. I am a bit puzzled by these ... I expected them to come with some sort of mesh-type lining inside, but they look and feel like the material of a high quality sweatshirt ... like a Champion reverse weave. They are two layers of material and the weave is pretty tight ... but my overall take is that I don't know how much more protection they would give you vs. simply wearing a good sweatshirt. These come ONE PER ORDER ... so you will need to order two of them if you want a pair. As for the cut protection ... don't expect these to protect you from power tools, hedge trimmers, pole saws or chainsaws. These seem more made for gardening, working with clawed animals or light scratch-inducing activities. Candle making, deep frying or other hot liquid spraying things. I am a big dude ... former football player ... 6'3, 230 lbs. so I ordered the wider size and the longest length they had. They fit me fine, although I am on the leaner side of large (think tight end vs. offensive line). The only issue I have with the fit is that they do slide down a bit while wearing during activity. I like that they have a fingerless glove sort of fit because I can wear protective gardening gloves over them without losing dexterity. I put it through a small test using a really sharp chisel and a pair of semi-sharp scissors. As you can see in my video and photos, the chisel poked through the material ... in fairness, the edges are super sharp. So this would not protect you incredibly much against and errant tool/knife poke. They fared better with the scissors ... it would not cut through the material. If the scissors were razor sharp, I am guessing the result would have been different but the tight weave of the fabric and two layers moving on top of each other were somewhat protective. Would I wear these as protection while operating a moving blade such as a hedge trimmer, weed wacker or electric saw? No. I will use them on hot summer days when I am trimming my bushes or cutting back thorny vines and don't want to wear a thick sweatshirt. I don't see a huge need for these but for gardeners, pet groomers or those who work a hot oil frying station, they could serve a purpose.

Not a heavy duty item, but offers some protection
This isn't Kevlar or anything close to it but it will protect your skin from minor cuts & burns. I'm other words if you have light exposure to heat or if a knife slips without too much force, you should be protected. It's not going to stop a puncture wound or burn from extreme heat. This works well to protect you from cutting yourself if there isn't a ton of pressure on the object or from a burn if you touch a hot surface quickly but it isn't going to protect you from punctures or continues contact with a hot surface.

Not pretty but they sure work
These sleeves are supposed to be cut resistant. I suppose they are but I got them to medicate my cats and clip their nails. Well the times I tried them, the cat's claws and teeth did not penetrate the sleeve but I could feel them. They aren't extremely comfortable, but they aren't unpleasant either. Well the kitten's claws and teeth didn't penetrate. I can't say I'm really enthused about them, but they seem to get the job done and that's what is important. I was a little disappointed that they were only woven fabric. I was hoping for something a little more substantial. But if this is something you need to protect your arms I would recommend that you buy them because little discomfort is better than a whole lot of scratches and bites and cuts on your arms and hands. Go out and get a sleeve and try them. It's only one sleeve.

Didn't protect from the cuts of puppy's sharp teeth
I got this to help protect my arm from my 6 month old puppy's sharp teeth while she's still teething and thinks my arm is one of her chew toys. It didn't work because her sharp teeth penetrated the fabric of this sleeve, cut through the fabric and penetrated my arm.

runs a little small
I found that the sleeve runs a little small. I also found the stitched areas at the end of the sleeve to be a little abrasive, but they are wearable. My one encounter with a sharp object did not penetrate but not a conclusive determination its ability to protect one from sharp objects.

Left arm sleeve, yellow
This is actually well crafted. Made for the left hand, allows the user to have the thumb out and all four fingers. The palm will be covered, The material is cotton, it's a little rough and has multiple layers but will definitely keep your left arm warm.
