Gift For Mom - Highly Recommended
Mom asked for these for her daily garden activities. She loves these gloves and raves about how high they go up to avoid getting scratched by anything.

Great gloves!
This is my second pair of these gloves. My first pair lasted me for at least about 15 years, but had developed a few holes in the fingers, so decided to get another pair. I reccommed them highly because they fit great and obviously get you through a lot of gardening and trimming.

Does the Job
I like these gloves, especially the length. Price was right and shipped quickly. These do not, however, protect from the tiny, sharp thistles on weeds. I'm sure they work well with the larger rose thorns but I will never be using them in that capacity. I was on a desperate search for gloves to protect from getting stabbed with the tiny thistles while weeding. These are pretty good but the purple part that is not suede does not block the thistles. So I am still jabbed quite a bit. I was disappointed about that but I honestly haven't found any others that work either so apparently it is impossible. The description does make it seem these are going to be thistle proof which is why I gave 4 stars. That being said they will still come in handy and I do like them. Overall nice pair of work gloves.

Protective yet flexible
These gloves are long enough to protect my forearms. They are somewhat flared so a long sleeve can be tucked in further protecting my arms. They protect against most thorns; one still has to handle long thorns gingerly. They are flexible so that one can easily trim a rose bush. They are sturdy and have extra material at the fingertips where gloves would usually wear out. I would buy these again.

Excellent Landscaping gloves
These gloves have been the best I have used so far. We have desert landscaping and trimming agave and palm species pose risks due to significant thorns and spines. These gloves handle it extremely well from the smallest to the largest and even cactus. The forearm protection is nice and long; the backs of the hands are susceptible due to needing to be a different material for flexibility and breathability. Would definitely purchase again.

Great gloves!
I have completely overgrown roses, that prior to ordering these gloves, I would get scratched up like I had fought a cat whenever I tried to prune. But upon ordering these gloves, it's been a game changer. No scratches at all. And they are breathable too. I have very small hands and they fit like a glove (lol). Great product!

Good for small hands
Unlike some other reviewers, I would not size up -- these are just right for my hands. The four fingers are just the right length, and the thumb has a bit of extra space at the end. (My hand measurements: base of palm to middle fingertip = 6¼"; base of thumb across palm to base of pinky = 3½"; wrist circumference = 6¾"; wrist to inner elbow = 8"; ring size = 5). The wrist and the gauntlet are a little looser than I would like, although maybe I will appreciate that when it's sweatshirt weather. The end of the gauntlet is a little less than 3" from my elbow. The lower halves of my forearms are currently covered in poison ivy rashes. The gloves cover the rashed area completely, so hopefully they'll prevent this from happening again, otherwise, I'll look for one that goes all the way to the elbow. These are a good material/thickness for weeding and general gardening, but they are not thorn-proof. ----------------------------- Updating almost 2 years later: I changed the 4-star review to 5. I am very pleased with these gloves and have just ordered another pair. (The old ones are still going strong; the 2nd pair is for when the 1st pair is in the wash.) I was using a electric hedge trimmer recently, and absent-mindedly started it up without putting my left hand on the safety bar. My pinkie finger was caught in the whirring blades for a second or two. The glove saved me from losing a fingertip, and I ended up with just a little bruise (and a lesson learned).

Fit well (small). Top is not thorn proof so limited use. Get wet and stay wet so limited use same day.

Shorter than expected
Maybe I have long arms, but I was expecting them to cover under my elbows. Good fit on my hands.
