Best outdoor lights. I've thrown away all my other string of lights.
You take the time to put up a string of lights to line a pathway. Then, a light or two goes out and the whole string stops working. Not with Lumabase. They use "nightlight" size bulbs. When a bulb stops working, I simply and easily unscrew and replace. Meanwhile all the other lights keep working no matter what. (And I pick up a pack night lights at the discount store and they last a long time). Suggest using a long screw driver or the like to make the hole for the stake that comes with the lights. They are plastic. No sense forcing them into hard ground when preparing a small deep hole will do the trick. My original string has been outdoors for over 2 years (rain, snow, frozen ground). Once my "other" string of outdoor lights died (couple of lights stopped working and so did the whole strand), I replaced with Lumabase.

Don’t use the plastic stake to make the hole, it will break
I’m not sure why these lights have so many bad reviews. They’re really beautiful. I have 3 sets connected and lighting my pathway. I had solar lights out before and they were terrible. These provide a warm, bright glow that looks classy. For the price, I couldn’t imagine anything better. I was very careful unpacking these and putting them together. Each bulb is wrapped in tight plastic and I didn’t want them to break so I was slow about the process. The bulbs are easy to fit into the stakes. Some people say these look cheap which caught me off guard. The stakes *are* flimsy, but just use something else to poke the hole where you want the light and nothing will break. Once they’re in, you don’t even notice them and they stay put. I’ve had my lights up and on a timer for over a month now and I’m so pleased. EDIT: Just wanted to mention that these lights held up through over a foot of snow. They still came on their timer every night. Seriously impressed. I’ve only had to replace one bulb. I now have 4 sets lining my path, 3 connected (max limit) and 1 seperate.

Light The Way!
Totally worth the money. I bought 4 sets to cover our long dark driveway... brighter and better than I expected. Took maybe one hour from start to finish to get all 4 sets attached and in the ground. Did it right after a heavy rain fall so the ground was very soft for the stakes to go in with absolutely no trouble. Not one broke =) I have them hooked up to an outdoor timer that turns them on and off at set times. First night so I'm not sure how long the bulbs will last, but if they last a month, I'm fine with that. Just so thrilled to find reasonable priced electrical outdoor pathway lights... that do NOT require a transmitter... just a regular outlit =) Very easy to connect the bulbs to the stakes... plug in... light the way!

Many of the bulbs didn't work
We used these lights for our outdoor luminaria bags for Christmas. Every fifth light or so didn't work, even if we twisted, loosened, tightened. Our lights looked incomplete and I'm sending them back.

Looks great at night, still better than solar lights!
They are night lights on plastic sticks, that's why they are inexpensive. With that said, they still look beautiful at night. I have had the same 3 strands for years. I buy a box of the lights on Amazon because the lights do go out often and I have also bought packs of fuses from Amazon. Sometimes the whole string has blown. I then replace the bulbs and fuses and it works again. Still worth it to me versus the solar lights!

Great quality!
I bought these to line my walkway since it doesn't get enough sun for solar. I purchased two strands which fit along each side perfectly. So easy to set up and look fantastic. There was a heavy rain right after I set them up and still all fine. Highly recommend.

Great lights if you can hide the wires.
Our staircase didn’t allow us to use the stakes everywhere but they helped to hold some of the bulbs in place. Perfect brightness to light the stairs as we only had an outlet on one side. Great if you can hide the wires.
