Love this product

The scent is light and pleasant. It works well to tame my hair and is the same product my hairdresser uses. A little goes a long way. I use less than the directions on the bottle indicate because my hair is only chin-length.

Works for my fine hair!

I’ve tried L’ange and other brands but this stuff by far works the best. I have baby fine hair and this is a light-weight product that adds volume - use a pea-sized drop on wet hair and style. This is my second bottle. I could tell a difference when I ran out and stopped using it - had to hurry and order a second bottle.

Combine with Bedhead-Small Talk for a decent Rusk Being Gutsy replacement

All of the Moroccanoil products seem to have a similar scent, which is not my favorite (kind of like baby oil). However, the scent of this product fortunately does not linger. I have been searching for years to replace my cherished Rush-Being Gutsy, which has been the ONLY product that gave me actual volume for my medium fine shoulder length hair, while also preventing curl and frizz without making my hair stiff or greasy. It was like magic, and I have never found a similar product. I first tried the Moroccanoil volume spray and mouse, which made my hair stiff and thin looking, and greasy/thin within less than a day. I then tried the Moroccainoil thickening lotion, which works slightly by itself, but MUCH better when I put it on first and then add BeadHead-Small Talk. You can only use a small amount of each, like a large pea-size squirt, but combined they do add a little volume without making my hair stiff and provide control. Once flat ironed, these products keep my hair from curling and make it look thicker. Unlike most spray and mouse thickening products, this Moroccanoil lotion+BedHead Smalltalk do NOT make my hair look stiff or greasy/flat/thin within a day. They actually extend how long I can go without washing my hair. If I spray a little CHI volume booster or Biolage Volume Bloom (better smell) on my dry hair between washings, then straighten it back out a little with the hair dryer, it looks freshly washed again. Without the Moroccanoil thickening lotion+BeadHead Smalltalk, the effect of volume sprays and mousse are stiff, not actually thickening, and brush out almost immediately. I would highly recommend the thickening lotion.

Thickens But Not Long-Lasting

I’m a male with thinning hair, so I need a product that thickens and volumizes my hair. Since I am active, I also need a product that lasts through the day and my workouts. This product with its iconic floral-musky Moroccanoil fragrance does a good job of thickening and volumizing hair. The rich, creamy lotion melts easily into the hair. The directions say to use a quarter-sized amount, but because I have short hair, I began with a dime-sized amount. Even that much product was too much and made my hair look over-styled and almost greasy. The next time I used the product, I tried a pea-sized, which worked well to thicken and volumize my hair. Despite the rich texture, pleasant scent, and thickening effect, I found that the thickening/volumizing effect and hold of this product does not last the entire day. By the end of the day, my hairstyle is deflated (even with hairspray). If you have very fine hair and want a bulked up, soft-style effect, this product will likely work very well for you. How long the effect lasts will depend on your hair type and activity. While the price may seem steep for just 3.4 oz. (100 ml), only a small product is needed, so this product should last a while.

Love this stuff

I love Morrocan Oil products and have been using them for years. Unlike several reviews, I did not have an experience with a fake product.. This is for sure Moroccan oil as it smells just like the shampoo I buy directly from the store or Sephora. It works for making hair thicker, smoother (no fly aways) and have the feel/appearance of more body. Although I mostly use it before blow drying my hair straight... I have used it a few times out of the shower and it makes my natural curls, curlier and less frizzy when my hair air dries. Also! These products are expensive, I get it, but a little goes a long way and I bet this bottle will take me 6 months to go through. I'll update review if that ends up not being the case.

Works

This stuff really makes my fine, thinning hair look fuller and healthier. My hairdresser introduced me to it and i ordered a bottle from Amazon. I've never been a fan of the Moroccan Oil scent, but it is minimal in this product. I'm a true blue Orbie fan, but will continue to use this in spite of the scent.

Seems to help.

I use this lotion on towel dried hair that I have washed in Moroccanoil shampoo. It does seem to help my hair look thicker and fuller. Just be careful not to use too much in one go as it can make your hair go lank. A bit pricey but worth it to give your confidence a boost.

i've used this product for years

i have type 1B hair and i use this straight out of the shower. smells great. might be too strong for those who don't like fragrance. has a lotion like texture not gel like at all. makes my hair healthy and thick. definitely notice a difference. i hope they never discontinue this product i couldn't live without it.

Great product

This is my second purchase of this thickening lotion. Really does add volume without the stickiness and does not make my hair greasy. Seems a bit expensive, but only need a small amount, and lasts for ages.

This thickening lotion is great

I have fine hair and have been using this thickening lotion for quite a few years. It is non greasy and a little goes a long way. I feel my hair has more body with this product. I like the smell and feel of the product as well.
