I love Lock n Lock products! These rectangular ones are so easy to use to freeze because they stack. Check dimensions and visualize because this was smaller than expected. Fast delivery.

Use these for silverware storage at our church. Needed a couple replacements as some went missing. Great quality, but price has sure gone up!

I love the Lock&Lock brand. I've been using them for quite a long time. My oldest pieces are more than 10 years old and are still going strong. I use them constantly. I know some folks hate leftovers, but I don't. If I bought it or made it in the first place, it was because I like eating it, and if I liked it today, I'll like it tomorrow too! The Lock&Locks keep everything I put into them fresh and ready to be rewarmed. I don't buy sets. Instead, I prefer to just buy the particular pieces that I need (preferably on sale--this one was 9 bucks). I can usually find a space-efficient way to store them by putting the smaller ones into the larger ones. I didn't have a Lock&Lock of this size, but I thought the size would be perfect for storing half a London broil or a couple of chicken pieces. The 54 ounce, 1.7 qt size (HPL824) is perfect. It has the familiar 4 flaps, one on each quadrant of the lid, that engage the equally familiar tabs on each quadrant of the body of the piece. The seal is tight, waterproof and secure. The dimensions in the Product Details are correct. Keep in mind that they refer to the lidded container and not just its body, which will be slightly smaller. The Lock&Locks are microwave reheatable, but I never do that. Depending on what I'm reheating, if it has tomatoes or oil, it can stain or mar the container. I transfer to the dish I'm going to serve in, and reheat that way. I do wash them in the dishwasher (top rack) and my oldest pieces are still perfectly functional. I think it would be wise to heed the warning from the manufacturer that appears in the Product Details, "ONLY LOCK & LOCK PRODUCTS "SOLD BY" AMAZON.COM ARE GUARANTEED GENUINE." If it doesn't say "Sold by Amazon.com" under the price, look over on the right side of the Product page and you can generally find one that is. It will cost a bit more, but you won't get a counterfeit knock-off. I am a retired engineer, and I think it may be that the simple, effective and direct way that the Lock&Locks solve the food storage problem appeals to my "tech-y" personality. The way that they preserve the freshness of whatever I put in them appeals to my palate, that's certain!

Love my Lock & Lock containers!!!
Lock & lock containers are awesome! I have been using them for over 15 years now. They really do help food stay fresh longer. This size is very handy for cheeses and deli meats, as well as mushrooms, cherries, etc. We use lock & lock for fruits and vegetables we grow to hold them in the fridge for a day or so until we have enough to can, freeze or dehydrate. So much more economical in the long run than plastic bags and more economical friendly because you use them over and over. They stack neatly in the fridge or pantry so you can tell what you have and find it easily. Keeps cookies, crackers and snacks fresh. Thousands of uses, and you can get them in almost any size imaginable. We prefer the rectangular and square ones to the round ones because they stack more efficiently. Hand wash or put in the dishwasher as you wish and they clean up easily. Best not to microwave things like curries or tomato based dishes in them because these foods tend to discolor or stain almost any type of plastic, even durable lock & locks. They also work great in the freezer.

Great for Salad Mixes
I was looking for something to be able to both mix up and send a salad mix with my husband for his lunch. This is perfect, and washes well in the dishwasher!

Filled with water and set upside down at an angle and left for an hour or so. no moisture escaped. I have and old container with brand name EasyLock that I inherited when a friend moved. It is the absolute best ever and I had searched high and low for more. I've tried many other brands and they just don't pass the water test. I think perhaps this may be the same company with a slightly updated name? The containers look exactly the same. The EasyLock gets used in the cooler out on the boat because as the cooler ice melts it doesn't permeate into the container and nothing in the container leaks into the cooler. These LocknLock Easy containers work just as well. I'm so happy I stumbled on these. I hope they are airtight, but that is currently being tested here in the humid tropics. They are definitely water tight though.

Unexceptional
Exactly as expected. Wont test for leaks, as the seals take to long to dry. They are reasonably easy to clean, except that the seals take a long time to dry. Wont know about durability until a few years have passed - so why ask now? My pervious Lock&Lock container have been excellent.

Very useful box
This is expensive for a storage box but it is great quality. I use it for getting a takeaway curry at our mosque kitchen in Edinburgh. The server is quite happy to fill my box, rather than use their own boxes. I didn't like their own boxes as they leaked in transit, leaving a mess in my bag, but this box is perfect. Easily enough curry for two of us, it's easy to seal, it doesn't leak and it's easy to clean. Couldn't ask for more.

Lock+Lock containers are always the best for me.
Best food storage containers ever! Lock+Lock is the name I always look out for when searching for a food container. Great for larder, freeser, microwave -with lid loose-etc. Everything lasts longer and fresher. And no ice burn to food when frozen.
