Loving this

I got a couple of these for a recent trip to the US. They work well and gives me a sense of security. They are as robust as can be expected for a unit meant to secure temporarily. They are however very easy to change the code, to slot in the feeders to the unit. Versatile enough to use on different occasions including threading a wired thread connecting our luggages on board the train with this pretty little thing thus securing them. I have 4 of these and yeah, they work and am happy.

Love this

So I bought this for my travel backpack I love the longer side I am able to feed the lock thru my top zippers then the bottom part thru the next pocket of my back pack securing both pockets. It was really nice to be able to take it with me and know my backpack is safe and no one will be able to unzip or get into stuff that needs to be secured- the back pack is travel safe so it is uncuttable etc and with the lock just makes it that more secure and gives me that piece of mind thinking of buying a couple more for my luggage

Used for my Fanny Pack

I used this to keep my fanny pack buckle closed while traveling and ended up holding onto the extra loop for comfort. Love it, but I wouldn’t use this for security of unattended possessions.

Great 2-way Lock for Small items!

We bought a set of these for our backpacks for touring France. The cables fit nicely through the zipper pull loops, securing two main chambers of our backpack. That gave us great confidence while in lines at airports, trains, and other high traffic areas where pickpockets like to hang out. Great value! It took me about 3 minutes to figure how to open them and set a combination. The second one took me about 30 seconds.

Not a robust lock, but it works.

Us on suit case and looks and works as described. It does not fill robust, but it works. Haven’t had a situation where it hasn’t stayed lock for the duration of travel. Easy to use and set pass code number.

I had a similar lock made by TUMI. I gave it away to my brother who travels extensively. He was raving about it. I could not find another one till I came across this no name brand lock. First of all I read that in the aircraft when everyone is sleeping, there is a high rate of theft of personal of items and money by other passengers and even the airline staff (confirmed by a senior pilot). This type of lock can be used not only to lock your own but your companion's bag as well (Being held together in the top bin). This should prevent such a loss. (recently one of my friend travel to far Eastern country. Someone had removed his valuables from his carry on bag while he was asleep. He called the airline crew and altered them. In turn, he blocked the exit way. The police arrived and arrested the person who "happened" to have not only my friend's but other passenger's stolen items in a bag he was carrying). Secondly even though the suit case is locked, people have opened it by piercing a suitcase zipper and removing items and "repairing the zipper" by moving it back and forth . If applied correctly, this also can be stopped. If you read the travel sites, it recommends such a lock and USE IT as directed. I suppose this should keep the articles safe to a great extent. Good but a bit fiddly

Very useful having two ends bit needs a bit of dexterity as when you undo the combination both ends unlock and it’s possible to lose the cable if you are not careful. Ok once you get the hang of it . Ideal for padlocking two things together. Used it to padlock my bags together so I didn’t lose any

Secure Enough

I bought this to use with a travel holdall style bag as I wanted to anchor my zippers in position to stop thieves using the well known biro technique to get into zippers and resealing them to make it look like nothing has been tampered with (check out YouTube - plenty of examples on there!). For this purpose it is good to have the versatility of having dual cables to use - both of which can be removed to allow you to use it with just one cable if you wish. Adjusting the combination was easy enough and locking it also just as easy. There are two lengths of cable - one long(ish), and one shorter - allowing me to lock my zippers to one of the straps or to the attachment look for the shoulder strap. So it secures the zippers in place, locking them so they cannot move much - thus making impossible to re-seal / re-zip a bag after it has been broken into with a biro. I've used it on two business trips so far and it has worked fine. The only areas i have concern about are the locking mechanism and the overall strength of the construction doesn't seem to be tough enough to withstand the typical abuse that checked luggage is subjected to by baggage handlers at airports...Time will tell...

At the right price it's a useful buy.

Does what is expected of a lock with a double metal cord. One can do either of the following: - put one end through one double zip, then the other end through another double zip. - put one end through a double zip, then the other end through a bag handle (stops the zips from being movable). - put one end through a double zip, then the other end around a nearby object (stop the bag from being moved). It's also quite light for what it is. And while it's not gonna stop a determined thief, it will afford one some extra security and usefulness when on your travels. I paid just under 11 quid in April 2017, and this is the maximum I'd pay for this. So yes, worth it for the piece of mind it offers whilst travelling.

Really happy with the purchase

Really happy with the purchase, you see the videos on social media of airport staff using a Biro pen to open padlocked suitcases without having to pick the lock in a matter of seconds which made me quite paranoid. There haven't been any notable break ins on the padlock itself but i can confirm it survived a trip without my luggage being breached.

BEWARE

have used this to lock my computer bag which this fits well and have used since end of may when it was delivered BUT at Nice Airport yesterday tried to open failed about 50 times, got home tried another 10 times total failure, cut it off. Can find no way to complain so writing this to warn others who may not have access to a good set of bolt cutters.
