One of my favs in my collection
I own about 30 rod/reel combos. This Lew's reel definitely is one of my favs. In my opinion right their with my Penn Battles and my Abu Garcia reels. The standouts with this reel are casting is as smooth as butter and pulling in even 25 to 30 inch red drum is not an issue...love that inshore light tackle fight. Plus great price for a well made reel.

Nice!, feels and performs like a reel should! The look for my Camo rod is a perfect fit.
This reel feels and performs perfectly! Purchased for a particular look, I didn't realize the performance would be exceptional as well. This is a true ADD to the fisherman who wants a quality product ! Thank you Lew's ! Steve C.

Great Reel, but you might have work to do.
I love the American Hero line of Lews spinning reels. I now own 3. My only beef is that quality control is not up to snuff. I have returned one reel from Farm and home for a stiff crank (reason unknown). I bought the AHC200 from Amazon and dang it had the same problem. Well, since the Kohl’s Amazon return is closed due to Covid, I decided to take it apart and see if I could add oil or grease to fix the “new reel” problem. Unfortunately I had to take it all the way down to the main worm gear that seemed to be lacking grease. As a cyclist, I had spare Teflon grease which I liberally added to the worm gear. I reassembled and crossed my fingers. Bingo. Smooth as silk. The design of this reel is so great that I rarely have wind knot or other common open face line twist problems. I love the AH200 and the AHC200.

Solid reel
I was surprised at the strength and smoothness of this reel for the price point. mated this to a Lew's fast action bass rod and I've caught several bass and other panfish and this reel has performed very well. Bought this instead of a more expensive reel to save money and have no regrets.

Best Spinning Reel Around; Regardless of Price!
This reel is amazing; it’s as smooth as butter and looks great to boot. The quality is top notch and it’s all at a ridiculously low price. This reel is my favorite spinning reel made; regardless of price. I’ve owned spinning reels that had cost four times as much as this; this one is better!

Nice real for the money
This is a nice reel and is very comfortable to use. The camo effect is very nice and overall feels well constructed and durable. I use it for light lure fishing.
