Life-Helping Grounding Adapter for Your Electronics
You would think every apartment has properly wired and grounded outlets in 2016, but alas, that is not the case. Should you happen to live in an apartment that doesn't have grounded wall outlets, you need this grounding adapter. Why do you need it when you have a surge protector? Because a surge protector won't work unless it's connected to a grounded outlet. You don't want to risk your thousands of dollars worth of electronics when you could fix this issue with a $3-5 adapter. — HOW TO INSTALL — The concept of this device is simple: you remove the one screw in the middle of your wall outlet; plug this adapter into one of the outlets so that the metal part aligns with the screw hole you just took out; thread the screw into the metal hole of this adapter and back into the hole in the wall. It should be tight and all the metal parts touching. You'll know if you did this properly if the "grounded" light on your surge protector lights up. If you don't see this option, you should probably get a better surge protector. I own theBelkin Advanced 12-Outlet Surge Protector with 2 USB Charging Ports in black and white. — SUMMARY — If your outlets aren't grounded, don't risk your expensive electronics when you can spend a few dollars to protect them further. Buy one of these for every non-grounded outlet you have. And always use a surge protector as well! Recommended.

I try to buy made in USA. I was misled to buy this by its description. It does not have the 3d ground pin. The tab you see sticking out in the photo is the ground.

When two wires aren't enough yet you need to plug in stuff.
Very handy when traveling to old and quaint hotels or homes where modern plugs may be in short supply but your electronics still feel the need to feed. My wife often stays at a very quaint little inn along the Oregon coast but, due to being a writer, has a lot of stuff needing connections. This solves all issues nicely and takes up almost no room in her laptop bag and has minimal weight. Leviton is a well known name in electrical supplies and has been around forever so their stuff is pretty good. Tuck one in your kit if you travel, you never know when you'll need it and you'll be a lot happier if you have it along. (I travel with a little basic kit that allows me to plug modern gear into almost anything almost anywhere in the world and the whole thing is less than a pound.)

Great ground lift - Stage Manager Approved!
It's a ground lifting power tap. Works exactly as advertized. I use them in the entertainment/performing arts industry for instruments and such, to avoid a "hiss" you get on grounded outlets. The 3 outlet tap is nice and makes everything easier. Build quality is great. Plastic is smooth and well build, the prongs don't bend easy which helps when I throw it in my tool box. I have had no damage even though I have been rough with it. I paid $3.50 which is a deal compared to what stores are selling these things at. Though if you are looking to buy SINGLE ground lifts, those are actually cheaper at Target and Wal-Mart. I respond to comments if you have any questions!

Installed properly, they work great. People need to understand they need to be grounded with the screw from the outlet cover in your outlets. They could space the plugs apart a few more millimeters, so larger plugs could fit side by side.

Doesn't slip out of outlet - much safer option than single adapters!
I rent an older home that still has many of the 2-prong outlets. Obviously I can't exactly switch out the outlets, so I am left to using adapters. This three outlet tap is so much better than the single adapters. The single adapters tend to fall out of the outlets very easily, creating fire hazards if it sparks on its way out. However, this piece has enough space around the edges that it is able to brace itself and not slip. It also leaves enough space for the other outlet to be used. Perfect all around. I've purchased several of these and I am extremely happy.

This was the perfect adaptor for my needs
I teach at a very old school and my classroom only have 2 outlets. I bought 2 of these to charge 6 laptops but did not have the grounding for the laptop chargers to work on their own. This was the perfect adaptor for my needs. My only issue is that when 3 cords are plugged up at once, the adapter would hang down, out of the outlet, sometimes falling out completely.
