Great solution
Nice product all around. Quality box, outlet, face plate, instructions, floor template. Installation is a little tricky with a thick floor, but that's not the product's fault.

It was what I needed at a good price.
Outlet was as specified. Looks good, well made. Best price I could find for this type outlet. I would buy again if I needed more.

Very attractive and fuctional
I was in need of a replacement outdoor outlet to replace one that had failed (one outlet had a grounding prong broke off it in and the other one didn't grip the plug tightly). It's not often used, but when I need it I sometimes want to plug in 2 items at once. When this item became available for review I selected it because my husband keeps "forgetting" to pick one up at his second home, the hardware store. The faceplate is a very nice looking brushed- finish brass; I'll admit to scanning the description quickly and I saw "ivory" and was expecting a plastic faceplate (a closer look at the picture on the product page shows that it is in fact metal although it does look smoother than it actually is); I was very pleased when I opened the package and saw that it was a nice thick plate. My installation is in an exterior wall under roof, so I was not required to use a rain cover; the existing outlet had the little hinged covers that were more convenient to use than removing the plugs in this one but when it's not in use and the plugs are installed this is a more attractive fixture. It blends in nicely, it's visible but unobtrusive. The plugs can be removed with a coin and have rubber O-rings to keep moisture out (not an issue in my installation but if you have it installed as a floor out let and accidentally tip over the mop bucket you'll be thankful for them). The installation was fairly easy according to my husband, although he was a little disappointed that he didn't "have" to go buy a new tool for the installation. It replaced an existing fixture so we weren't reinventing the wheel here; some Amazon reviewers of this product had trickier installations so you might want to study the instructions and assess your skills before beginning a DIY install. This being electrical work, if in doubt please consult a professional electrician. The included receptacle is the new tamper-resistant design mandated by the 2008 National Electrical Code (NEC): [...] It's a commercial ("spec grade" according to hubby) device, 15 amp, for copper or copper-clad wire only (no aluminum). it should last for many years. I'm very pleased with my snazzy new outlet.

Excellent product but quirky to install
I liked this box very much for its sturdiness and finish level. I hated it for its odd installation and proprietary outlet. You will need to carefully plan and cut your floor for the install. And carefully check your box position and layout to make sure you enough room to install the outlet screws (notching the area with a plunge saw will aid in this you may be tempted to use a roto-zip but be careful it is a little unwieldy in deep cuts like say 3/4 flooring over a 3/4 sub floor...and will likely burn the bit before your done 1/2 a box...where as a multi-tool with a plunge blade will cut it with ease) Again its a tricky install but looks and functions great when your done...

Excellent build quality and 10 year warranty
Leviton is a name I trust for household wiring and electrical needs. I changed out several wall sockets in my apartment for USB/wall socket combo plugs when I first moved in almost 2 years ago, all operating flawlessly. I ordered this one for outside. We have an aging wall socket that came with the house when my parents bought it 15 years ago. It was never replaced. Who knows how long the previous owners had it before that. It is a standard wall box, with plastic spring-loaded caps that flip to the side to expose the socket. The socket is so old and rickety that we have to wiggle the plug of whatever is plugged into it in order for the prongs to make contact and get power. So, it had to go. Build quality is solid as always and Leviton backs that with a very generous 10 year warranty. I love and hate the screw out caps at the same time. They are gasketed to keep out dust, rain, and whatever else, and also slotted to prevent a child or other mischievous person from sticking something in there (unless that child or mischievous person has a coin of course). However, my concern is that the cap is not tethered, increasing the possibility of it getting lost in a pair of work pants, in the garden, rolling down the street, etc. This is the only flaw I can find with the product, and maybe the color. It doesn't match the side of the house.

Leviton Floor Outlet
If well situated, floor outlets keep areas safer by eliminating tripping hazards, and after having one in a previous residence it is one of those things that, once aware of, is hard to do without. This is the second floor outlet added to this home -- and it is now installed in the alcove that houses my desk which is unavoidably located in the center of that small space. It is an area that sees a lot of activity and congestion, so the lamp, paper shredder and other cords plugged into the wall nearest the desk spider out across the floor which is not only unsightly but also unsafe. Even dogs sometimes tangle in the cords, yanking various things to the floor - luckily no serious injuries have occurred. There is an unfinished basement below the alcove so access was no problem. I brought in an electrician to do the wiring because we had some unrelated issues, but for those skilled in such work, the instructions are clear for installation either on bare/hardwood flooring or carpeting - and templates are included. Small thing, but since I have almost no brass hardware in the house I wondered if the metal plate would be too obvious -- provide too much contrast. Actually, it is less noticeable than satin pewter or nickel because it isn't as stark against the carpet and I imagine the warm color would look better on hardwood, too. Terrific product.
