Top Not so sturdy

This is a great little cozy bed and my cat sleeps in it all time. It is soft and comfy. I took a chance and washed it because it had an unpleasant ‘manufacture’ smell and my cat would not go near it at first. After washing, she still ignored it for a couple days. So, I just put it in the closet where she sleeps. I was beginning to think I made a bad purchase, but then one day I peeked in and there she was, comfortably curled up inside it. One downside: The Ad picture shows it erect. My picture is the actual--slightly collapsed. Still usable and, as long as my cat is happy...but still, a star is removed for a product not quite what you advertised.

My tall cat loves it

My tall cat looked at our other cat hut several times, but he was just too tall to get in and use it. Now he fits in this one perfectly and enjoys very long naps in it.

Now That He's Found The Bed, I Miss My Cat!

When this bed first arrived, I found myself thinking just how pretty it is. It helps, of course, that it matches my cat's coloring (and his coloring matches my furnishings, not by accident, either). But when I first set up the bed, he wanted nothing to do with it. I moved the bed from room to room, I put his treats and toys in it, but he'd just poke his head in the thing to retrieve them then go back to sprawling on MY bed. Considering he's a 14 pound behemoth who both snores and has a flatulence problem (and, yes, I feed him a high-quality, no-filler cat food), I've been absolutely miserable having him take up more and more space on my bed. Yesterday while I vacuumed, I tossed his cat bed to one side of the living room. It happened to have landed near (but not on) a heating vent. Four hours later, I couldn't find my cat. When I finally located him, he'd curled up in this bed. I've hardly seen him since, including last night when I was in my own bed bracing for his eventual (heavy) pounce and eventual (gassy) sprawl. It never happened. He's snug and cozy in this bed, which means that for the first time in our four years together I am finally snug and cozy in MINE. (And breathing much better now that I don't have cat hair and cat farts flying around me!) Two very nice things about this bed, aside from how pretty it is: the inner pillow is easily removed and looks sturdy enough for washing, though I'll probably stick with vacuuming and/or wiping it off to begin with. (A tip: put a rubber dish glove on your hand and wipe it down; the cat hair will stick to the glove and leave the pillow fur-free. Probably a good idea to run the same glove-covered hand around the inside of the thing.) Also, since the pillow is removable, this bed really CAN hold a bigger (though not longer) cat if needed.

Kitty is cozy & comfy!!

I wanted to get something for my BIG 16 LB calico cat that would keep him warm in the winter as I keep my house @ 55 degrees during the day while we're at work. When I first saw this, I thought it would be to small for him, but when I read the reviews, it sounded like he might fit in it, so I decided I had nothing to loose by ordering it and if he didn't like it, I would just send it back after a month. I know when my cat likes something, he takes to it right away, or else he'll just never use it. It came fast, within a couple days and when I opened it, it looked kind of small, but I put it on the floor and he just sniffted it and walked away from it, and I thought, he's not gonna like it. So it sat on the floor for a couple days in my bedroom and he never got near it. I thought I would have to return it. But one day I was reading in my bedroom, and he came in and sniffed around it again, and then he went in it! He laid down and fell right to sleep. I was so happy! But then he didn't use it after that, so I decided to move it into the livingroom where we are most of the time, and he started going in it more and more and now he's in it ALL the time, he LOVES it! And it seems really warm and cozy in there for him. It's a tight squeeze for him to get in it and it's kind of funny because you can see the sides of the house move until he layes down and gets comfortable, but he really likes it. I came home from work early one day and he was sound aseelp in there and I was so glad because the house was cold and now I know, he can get in there and be nice and warm, which is why I got it in the first place. Yes, my buddy is a little spoiled, but he's worth it!

Great cat cave, cat likes it especially when it's a cave within a cave (under the bed space)

When I bought this, my boyfriend scoffed and said I was foolish for buying a bed for our cat--our cat will simply not care. He will lay down next to the bed and sleep next to it. For several weeks, this was true. It felt a little like I had wasted money and I was miffed that it was looking like I was wrong. A few times I tried forcing him into the bed, hoping that he would realize the wonders of its softness once inside, to no avail. He only ran away and got angry at me for trying to pick him up. (He hates that.) A few weeks ago, he realized that a half-full duffle bag under the bed made for a great, soft place to sleep. It was really cute, but got cat hair all over the duffle. THEN, I got the genius idea to combine this bed with his favorite hiding spot--under the bed. He took to the bed like a fish takes to water. We actually missed him, because that first day he realized there was a nice soft cat cave right in his favorite hiding spot, he stayed in there for hours, very happily sleeping, completely undisturbed by humans who want to get him to play. It remains one of his favorite sleeping places, even weeks later, which is great for him, because mostly he gets left alone (aside from the occasional check-in where I baby talk how cute he is) and it's also soft as hell. Also, my cat is a 16lb chunker. He's a big guy. He is totally comfortable in this cat cave, he can lay down completely inside it, lean against the sides, and often uses the front as a chin rest. He is chill as f*** in this bed. I recommend it.

Absolutely Love It!

Bought this cat bed c11czs/mh and my cat absolutely loves it. When I first opened the package, I thought it would be too small for my giant 16lbs cat. But actually it's just the perfect size for him. It got more than enough space for him to sleep in. My cat just loves this bed. We don't even have to train him to go to his bed. He went to sleep in there the first day we took it out and now he sleeps in there every afternoon. The color of the bed matches our hard-wood floor and the outside of the bed looks like a little house for him. The opening is big enough for him to go in and the cushion inside is so soft which makes my cat loves to nap in there. I would definitely recommend this bed for dogs/cats that are 20lbs or under.

Bueno pero tengo mis reservas

El tamaño de la cama la vuelve algo endeble, de hecho mis gatos se duermen encima no dentro. Tengo otra cama de esta misma marca, más pequeña y sí se meten. Este tamaño no lo recomiendo, más pequeños sí, se ven y se sienten más solidas y agradables para los gatos.

My cat loves it! It didn't take so long her to get in it. The plastic was smelling when I opened the package at first and I concerned but she didn't mind it.:) Her bed is right next to my bed and on the floor and she likes looking at me from the opening:))
