These bags work very well with the vacuum sealer. All of my garden fresh veggies and fruit are all sealed up for winter. Since we farm and do our own meat processing this will be great for that as well I'm sure.

Working fine so far... need to test sous vide better
These bags are working fine for me. I usually get the rolls and cut them to size, but sometimes you need a quick and easy pre-made bag. What I can't tell yet is how they hold up to long cook soud vide. I've tried a couple of different bag companies (including brand name ones as well as lesser known, cheaper bags) and what has ALWAYS happened is after about 24 hours of cooking, the bags literally start to disintegrate. They decompose on the outside (thankfully not the inside!), leaving a plastic grit all over the inside of the container and any submerged part of the sous vide machine, inside and out. So far none of them have lost their integrity, but the cleanup is a nightmare and I don't like that stuff getting pumped in and out of the sous vide assembly like that. 24 hours seems like a lot, but there are plenty of recipes for ribs, etc. that are 48 hours and longer. The bag company that earns my undying loyalty is the bag company that can finally provide me with a bag that can survive those long cooks. I haven't had an opportunity to try a long cook with this bag yet. An update will be coming when I do.

Great Bags With Opening Strip
Just got to try these out and they are super. Heavy plastic. They sealed very well and they have a notch cut so that you can open them. The only problem I see is with that notch which is at the bottom of the bag. So when you put your food in and seal it the food is right up against where you want to tear off the bag to open it. Could be a problem.

Great price, great quality, great value
Unfortunately I have not been able to use this with Venison this year, but have been able to repackage meats from the store that have been opened and need to be re-sealed and they've worked great. 3.5 mil is heavy duty. I've had 0 issues with sealing anything. Highly recommended. Sadly they will not give you any luck in the field.

Great bags with easy-open notch.
Really high quality bags. As another reviewer noted, the notch is at the bottom of the bag. Simple solution is to rip it just a tiny bit at first so the bag re-inflates. The the food will move out of the way and you can open it. I guess they did it that way so you can cut it smaller if you have a smaller volume of food.

Perform well, a little bit small
Well made and thick material which will maintain durability. They do hold a vacuum seal well. However, the size makes them a bit too small for bulkier clothing items such as sweaters and sweatshirts. But a space saving device for travel packing they are a great tool.

Good Bags w/ Opening Notch
Really like pre-made bags, and these are some of the nicer ones. The notch on them is a really good addition, but because it has to be at the bottom, it means you can easily push your food down to the bottom and make it hard to use.
