Check The Seal

The media could not be loaded. Arrived quickly, only one issue with the drain stopper flange having a chunk out of it, but for $2.17 i found a replacement at the local home depot and fixed it. Looks great and installed quick. Only beast of the project was getting the old one out. #1 tip if youre strugglimg with that is take your hair dryer and aim in down the pipe and around the inside edge of old drain flange. I had tried taking it out without warming it and mine was so old it broke one of the metal rods in the cross bar. Broke a second after warming it for a couple seconds and took the time to warm it up for about 2 1/2 mins with the hair dryer and a little wd-40 to loosen it and it FINALLY came out. Install was super quick and after the replacement was added it all works great! Video shows how to take drain stopper flange off if youre like me and need to replace it. Happy home improvement guys!

Not an exact replacement for my old drain but it worked

Needing to replace an old corroded drain in my mobile home I settled on this one. It's not the new drains fault as they are apparently all this way now, but the threads were too long for my application. I ended up going to the electrical department at a local home improvement store and buying a large flat nut that would fit the threads. (Redneck engineering.) I then stuck this drain into the tub and screwed on that nut from beneath the house while having someone else hold the drain in the tub with that special tool that looks kind of like a forked cross. (Poor description.) It was the only way I could make the drain work. However, it did work so I guess I really can't complain. Just be aware that if you have an ancient home you may have a similar experience as mine. I still look forward to replacing the other tubs drain....

Perfect solution

Fit perfectly, works great! Installation was fine once I managed to get my old drain out of the tub, which required an enormous amount of elbow grease (and a hair dryer to heat up the old putty). Watched some YouTube videos for tips. Cleaned up the opening, put some new putty on the back of the drain, and it worked great. Make sure you remove the black rubber ring unless you're actually installing a new bathtub.

Works Great! Looks Great!

Works and looks great! I had no problem removing the old drain and installing the new one using a HAUTMEC Tub Drain Remover Wrench PL0030 from Amazon. Make a snake of plumber's putty about 1.5 times the diameter of a pencil and put it under the new drain where the flange meets the threaded neck; I used Black Swan from Amazon. Expect some to squeeze out when you tighten the new drain; you know have a good seal just clean it off. I had no need for the large rubber washer. Before installing the plug into the new drain, unscrew the plastic "push" cap. It will expose a large screw head you can use to tighten it into the new drain, replace the cap. Buying two more to repair other tub drains!

Great value and product

Purchased this after finding the prices in hardware stores to be exceptionally high, thought I would try this out instead. Perfect size and quality, works well. I was afraid of the peddle looking like plastic chrome but it turned out really lovely. Install was super easy with a tub drain tool, without tool I'm not sure as to how difficult it would be. Overall super satisfied and happy with the purchase.

Quality tub drain

This item is really well made with a polished stainless finish. It also comes with a pop up drain plug and a rubber seal for under the tub hole. Excellent price, excellent quality, complete kit.

Pretty good.

Easy to install and use. Not sure how durable is that, but looks good. Don't forget that the gasket is not going in between the drain and the tub. It's actually going in between your tub and the drain pipe, and you seal your drain and tub connecting with plumber's putty, (NOT silicone), otherwise you'll have problem removing it.
