Finally clean chacos

My chacos smelled terrible and nothing I did could clean them. It did take two washes, but they finally don't smell

Definitely did some good!

I wore these Clarks sandals all summer last year and the year before, and this year they just seemed too gross to wear. I figured I'd try to revive them with this wash. I knew this was a big task, but I think it worked out pretty well. The wash doesn't come with instructions for how to use it, but I just Googled it really quickly, and then got to work. They suggest you rinse, apply the wash and lather it in, then rinse again in clean water and let air dry. For worse stains, they suggest scrubbing with a brush. Since these stains were pretty set in, I started by getting the shoes wet, then applied the Nikwax wash--which worked fine; it got sudsy right away. Then, I scrubbed them for a while with a toothbrush (I didn't have another type of brush to use). I think you can see where I scrubbed the most because that lifted out the most of the stain. I rinsed them well, and then allowed them to dry with a fan on them. The whole process took about 20 minutes, plus drying time (a couple hours). While the stains look pretty much the same, the smell is so much better. They also feel much softer. Since my foot covers the stains when I'm wearing them, I don't have too much of a problem with the stains staying set in, though I hoped they'd be a little less visible. Overall, I think I'll be fine wearing these again this summer--and I'll probably wash them more frequently now that I have the wash!

Love love love

Here in Florida we women wear all pumps and heels barefoot. So this magical stains remover became so handy. I use it to clear my insoles and love it. ☺️

Definitely Improved my Sandals

I have some really expensive sandals with real leather insoles. After 3 years of use in the summers, they had that darkened look from sweat and were starting to smell like it, too. This corrected the odor immediatlely and definitely made the insoles look much better. Great product and great price.

Works for Birks

I used Nikwax Sandal Wash on Birkenstock classic footbed. The starting stink, on a scale of fresh (1) to rank (5) was approximately 4. I tried numerous fixes that flat out didn't do a thing. Tried a freezing method. A baking soda bath. Combination baking soda caked on them, sealed in a bag, and deep freezed. Forget those, and buy this Nikwax product. I should have known it would work. Nikwax rocks for outdoors longevity treatments. The applicator is a spongy top, (resembling the sponge top applicator on liquid shoe polish). Press it down and squeeze to get the product flowing. Put it on fairly liberally. I used an old (but clean) toothbrush to scrub it into the footbed. Rinsed with water, gently. Dried them propped in front of a fan. Birks website says do not leave your shoes in direct sunlight for extended periods or in closed cars on hot days, so definitely don't dry them outdoors in the sun. Or in a hot car for that matter, I guess. Ha. The results. Not fresh as a daisy, but a lot closer than I expected. I would say 75% improvement. I bet, with another round before wearing them, they would be even more improved.

So far its fixed my stinky shoes!!

I used this on my Chacos that I have for work this morning and it worked great!! I have 2 pairs of chacos that are all leather and have a more business casual appearance to them than the regular ones that are used in a more relaxed environment. It worked very well to get the dingy look off of my shoes and to make them look newer again, I used this on my black sandals that I have had a bit longer and seem to have an odor to them because they get wet and just smell funky because they are leather, wet, and on your feet. I noticed the odor and decided I had to get something. So far this has worked great! I used it on my shoes and then left the house wearing them about an hour later. They still felt a bit damp but nothing that would keep me from wearing them out. I'm really pleased that this seems to have fixed the odor problem. I don't generally have stinky feet, so being able to smell my shoes was bothering me a little bit. I didn't want to get rid of the shoes because they weren't exactly cheap. This is a great fix so far as far as cleaning them without damaging the sandal itself.

Restores original color

I have lots of flip flops and I wear them a lot. This product gets off the dirt and brings back like-new color! Product is a little hard to dispense sometimes, but great results

I bought this last year and all summer long, I cleaned my multiple pairs of Dansko sandals. I'm rough on my sandals and wear them non stop all summer long. Sweaty feet and overall environmental dirt made me want to throw them away after a month or so. I found this sandal wash and I now have many clean pair. I go a little beyond the norm and actuall rinse my footbeds under cool running water after using a combination soft-stiff brush and the Nikwax. YES, if you opt for the water rinse-you MUST squeeze/press the excess water out and let them dry overnight or longer-or sometimes in the sun in the backyard. Since I have many pair, I always have a pair to wear, so drying time is not relevant to me. I tried using the sandal liners that everyone raves about, they are great for some shoes, but they worked against the natural grip of the footbeds, and left an icky residue on the soft synthetic fabric of the Danskos, so now, I just wash them with Nikwax. Fresh happy sandals, not sticky, smelly ones!

Holt gut den Dreck aus Schuhen

Ich bin begeistert. Meine Jungs sauen ihre Schuhe (aus Stoff) regelmäßig ein. Das Zeug holt gut den Dreck raus - besser als Prowin Alleskönner. Weniger investiv duften könnte das Zeug schon. In unseren Haushaltsmitteln usw. sind nur noch sehr selten Duftstoffe enthalten. Das hier ist für mich gerade noch so erträglich, nicht weil es schlecht riecht, sondern zu investiv. Ich bin es eben nicht gewohnt.

Great foot bed cleaner

I have cleaned the foot beds of several pairs of shoes and this product does exactly what it is supposed to do. I use this mostly for my ballroom dance shoes as I prefer to wear them with bare feet. They are clean and smell fresh with a minimum of scrubbing. A great product which I will recommend to others.

Stinky no more

Teva’s are expensive and I love my kayaking shoes but they were getting pungent. Seeing this product, I hoped it would be a a more inexpensive investment than a new pair of Tevas. Based on the reviews I was hopeful. I did the smart thing! It took 2 scrubbings but they are amazingly fresh again. Great product!

Nikwax Sandal Wash

Great stuff!!!!!! Use it for our Birkenstocks and I love it. I apply it and scrub with a toothbrush. Works great. Just rinse it off of the shoe thoroughly.
