Nice Little Lantern
Mom's rec room lights went out & I purchased these little lanterns so the electrician could see to set up. It's a neat little light. It has a high setting, medium and nightlight. It's not like my 300amp Halogen work lamp nor is it supposed to be. However with the power out, this latern definitely lights the way. I particularly like that it takes either 3 'D' Batteries OR 3 'AA' Batteries. No matter which Batteries are in the house, as long as there are 3 of them of equal size I'm good to go. NOTE -- Please Do NOT use all 6 Batteries at once. The casing is hard plastic and should last a good while. I also set it high on a shelf so my Mom can see better at night without the ceiling light. It casts a soft bright light without yielding a blinding glare. It's definitely a Buy. Absolutely. Works well. Batteries load easily and seems to last a good while. The price is also nice. I bought two. My daughter likes that it's an Energizer. Probably subliminal comfort reminding them of the Flashlights we used on trips when they were younger & they played with the funny toy Energizer Bunny in the car.

Yup yup
This is great! The brightest setting is amazingly bright. It will be perfect during hurricanes. It has dimmer settings and a glow in the dark button for the power. It’s also not very heavy. We bought it for my aunt who lives alone and fell for the first time.

Three different levels of brightness
I haven't owned my lantern long enough to determine battery life, and I haven't needed to walk outside with in the in rainy Pacific Northwest of the USA, so I can't tell you anything about water resistance either. What I do like it the three options for brightness: the first setting is very bright, and provides enough light to light up a room, or a tent, or to place it on a table and play games. The next setting is dimmer and adequate for subtle, lower light settings where you don't need to blind everyone around you. The third setting is dim yet adequate for use as a night light in your house when the power is out, or handy to hang in a tent while camping when you don't want or need so much light. We use this lamp in our chicken coop at night on its lowest setting to check on the hens at night so it doesn't startle them like bright light would do.

Light is bright
These lights are extremely bright. I live in an area that loses power often in the winter. With these lights I have all the light I need. Very happy with this product.

Don't get fooled by its claimed run time!!
It claims 500 lumens for 150h, but in fact, the light gets dimmed a lot just after 5 hours, with 3 new duracell D batteries. It does keep lighting up but with the dimmed light you can't do what you suppose to do with it. I re-read the description and find the "end point" is determined by

Linterna excelente.
Tardé en adquirirla porque el precio usualmente es elevado, esperé una oferta y solo así. Pero valió la pena, alumbra muy bien una habitación grande a toda su capacidad, para desplazarte por tu casa en un apagón muy buena a media capacidad y como luz de noche en el cuarto de tus hijos pequeños fantástica!!

Bright, long lasting light; easy to use
First, although the description says "batteries included", they are not. This is the third Energizer Emergency LED lantern that I have purchased. This one is for use by an 87-year old who needs something bright and easy to use. The lantern works with either three AA or three D batteries. The "D" batteries afford a much brighter light than the AA batteries. However, they add significant weight to the lantern -- which can be a challenge to a senior in an advancing age. The glow in the dark switch is handy in a power failure. However, it does not glow brightly enough for "older" eyes. Overall, I highly recommend these lanterns. They are well thought out and durable. Every household should have one. Or two! :)

Este producto cumple su funcion, no tiene demasiados lumenes que ofrecer pero si cumple su funcion en la oscuridad absoluta durante un apagon. Cuenta con diversas entradas para diferentes tipos de pilas, por lo que si no cuentas con alguna de ellas podrias usar otro tipo para que si puedas usarlas. Cuenta con varios modos de uso. e impermeable. El asa con el que cuenta te permite dejarlo en un lugar alto, lo cual es muy conveniente. Si lo recomiendo. Saludos.

Area for batteries is too tight..they won't fit. Faulty product.
If I could give a zero star review I would. I can't use this lantern. The energizer batteries I tried to put into it don't fit. The area for the batteries is too tight.. You either can't get them in and it won't work. Or you need to literally hammer them in and they still don't work.. And once they are hammered in you can't get them out. I am extremely frustrated and disappointed with this product. I will not buy from energizer again.
