really like this clock but after a few months the letters and numbers seem darker and harder to read have looked all over and dont see any way to brighten them up

Large, Bold & Accurate Display

Used this LCQ display clock to replace an older model that had seen better days, but had served well over the years. Therefore, a different model - this one - from the same company was chosen and has thus far performed well, standing up to the humidity of an upstairs bathroom and shower. In addition, a wireless outside temperature probe was included in the purchase but has not yet been used, but may be in the relatively near future. Also, this was purchased as " used " at a reduced price but was not, but the outer box was slightly damaged with NO effect to the contents. Actually at a VERY good price indeed, as the outer box was simply discarded and the contents utilized, the latter being the focus of this purchase. Due to its ability to synch with the Atomic Clock in Boulder, CO ( if in the U.S. ), this clock will remain accurate and actually set itself, typically in the wee hours, but a manual set can also be done for immediate use. So far, so good: no problems whatsoever have been encountered, making this clock a ' 10 ', or five out of five stars.

Atomic Clocks are Great!

I’ve had numerous atomic clocks over the years and currently have 4 different kinds throughout my house. Two have indoor/outdoor temps. It’s so convenient that they change the time automatically. Unfortunately they last only 3-4 years.

La Crosse Tech Is the best!

I have been using La Crosse atomic clock/weather displays for almost 20 years. My original clock still works like a charm but the outside sensor went bad and they dont make a replacement anymore. So I finally bought another one and settled on this one. This thing is awesome. Atomic time is deadly accurate and even has a digital seconds display, has the indoor/outdoor temp just like my old clock did, has the date, and the display is just the right size and easy to read. The clock is very stylish in person (pic doesnt really do it justice) and will fit any decore. The clock can be hung up or it can be placed on a desk, shelf, or nightstand and has an alarm (have not used that so I cant comment on it other than I know it has one). It has a clear battery level indicator, moon phase, and the little arrows beside the temp displays indicate the direction of the barometric pressure. The only thing I could think of that you could do to improve this clock would be to have a lighter background with darker numbers like some of the brands amazon carries (like the Sony big display clock). Just a really cool La Crosse product I am super happy with.

Attractive and a good value

I am pleased with the looks and value of this atomic clock. Setup was a breeze, simply put in the batteries as directed and within a few minutes the clock found the signal and the time, date, moon phase and temperature displayed. The time and temperature displays are large and easy to read. My only slight complaint is the day and date display is small and can't be read from across the room (reason for the 4 stars). Other than that it's fine looking and a good value.

Just a couiple of comments about the "outdoor" sensor

1 The "so called" outdoor sensor connects to the clock via WiFi 2. The instructions on how to activate the sensor are on the back of clock 3. I use it as a remote temperature sensor in another part of my home. The AC in that part of my home is an energy saving device and during peak hours it basically goes to sleep. So I use the sensor to tell me what the temperature is in that part of my home. No need for an outdoor sensor, my smartphones work perfectly fine in that regard.

Just got it and so far so good.

Just opened the package. Took 2 minutes to set the time and region etc. Very simple. Looks good and it is easy to read from 15 feet away. If it had a plug in power supply for the base unit, it would be perfect. Time will tell how hungry it is for batteries.

It works great

It needs some common sense but is extremely accurate. The outdoor sensor should be away from the sun preferably on a bracket so it doesn't get heat from the walls. The clock must be located where it can receive the radio time signal which controls it's accuracy. Otherwise it's just another quartz clock.

All that is on the clock, that is why we choose this one.

The letters in the words like day(Monday) month, indoor, outdoor and date like 19 are too close together. They are hard to read.

Love the moon phase

Really like the moon phase on this clock. This our fourth clock for the house, RV, and friends. All work well, no problems.
