Amazon and Kholer are a great team
The Kholer folks in the US and Thailand offered no realistic help. I needed the top part only of this overflow drain immediately. WOW! There was no help at all from Kholer. But Amazon got the piece to me in Thailand, half-way around the world, in three days! OK so I paid $198 for a $77 part, but consider please: 1) I had made a custom marble mammoth-sized tub using 1.5 cm thick marble slabs; no standard overflow drain would fit. 2) No US or other nation's plumbing site I was able to find offered any solution to allow me to keep the 54 cm high marble tub sides from filling near to full to allow a full deep soak my back needs, 3) my local architect and builder could only suggest a 5 cm diameter round plastic pipe installed at 35 cm from the floor of the tub. 4) working with a true Master Plumber and a true Master Marble Cutter, they fashioned a spot 50 cm from the floor, oval cut the marble to the shape of the drain, used the plastic pipe and cut it to size, and laid the marble tile on top to achieve the goal I sought. Double WOW! Sadly the marble twin sink credenza top has not yet arrived without cracks (it is due in 10 days, hah!) or the custom decorated sinks from China that are only 3 months late. Thus the water has not been hooked up to test the drain but.... I have faith it will work without leakage as 100% (concealed) silicone was generously used and in our 23 years abroad in Asia, does not grow mold or harden for decades. Thank you Amazon!

excellent look and function - challenging install
love the look of the over flow and the tub stopper is an excellent design. the over flow is not the easiest that i have ever installed. if you are installing this i would recommend purchasing a 1 1/2 inch rubber connector/adapter (4 inches long). i had to cut the pipe from the over flow to the T and install it to allow the pipes to line up for installation. it gives you flexibility to make the connection to existing plumbing drainpipes. also you had better be good at gluing and fitting the pipes together quickly because it is a one shot deal. make sure to dry fit before gluing. the tub (archer) and it's accompanying overflow seem to be best suiting for a new construction install. i gutted my bathroom space more or less and without easy access to the space behind the tub, it would have been nearly impossible. not as user friendly as slip nut connectors which allow for some variance in drain, T, and overflow positioning. good materials, but not smooth to work with. obviously geared to the professional plumber, new home construction purchaser. and of course those of us do it your selfers who won't stop until we get right.

Install warning
Well built product, just don't assume that the tabs on the hood fit inside the slot in the tub. THEY DO NOT!!! This is a silicone seal only. Do not rely on the rubber seal on the backside. Do yourself a favor and install the hood BEFORE you set the tub, with silicone.

Nice quality, but assembly required
Nice quality, but assembly required. Came in quickly and nicely packaged. Pros: overflow drain is good quality materials and fits into the elongated opening. Cons: It is "cut and glue yourself" project. Consists of 1-1/2" PVC pipes. You need to provide your own primer, glue and RTV silicon for sealing. No, the provided rubber seal will not seal it against the rough fiberglass outer surface. So don't get shy with that RTV. I was and had to re-assemble again after filling up with water. Bottom seal leaked between the tub and rubber gasket. Also, instructions for cutting the vertical pipe are not correct: it tells you to mark the spot on the pre-assembled (dry fitted) drain, then cut it a few inches higher to compensate for the Tee. Good thing I had spare PVC pipes because the cut according to their measurements made the horizontal part draining up... which is impossible. Had to make my own measurements and then everything worked. Another con: if you are remodeling and your old drain was 1-1/4" brass or plastic, you are in for some plumbing and sub floor removal /reinstall. Note: if you hope to cheat the bathtub depth by inverting the overflow drain to have it pointing up,it will not work. It mounts uniquely facing down.

Great product, looks nice!
Got this version because the brass was back-ordered all the way to next year! So I got this one since a renovation wont wait for a year. Worked just fine, no issues with installation ( according to my contractor) and looks perfect on the Kohler tub we have ...not that they gave us options for this products style but still... very "classic/modern look". I haven't used it long enough to know how the quality is but will be updating if anything worth mentioning happens!

Glue-to-fit! Good quality though.
This is not you conventional drain setup that you can slide for adjustment it is heavy duty pvc parts that need to be glued. This made it tough for me because I could not plumb post- install. Nor could I drop tub in pre assembled. However, I was able to reach around to install the overflow section later. Good quality parts.

Great looking. Look for open box!
Pretty expensive and you're stuck when you buy that Kohler tub. Happy to find an open box item here that was about half price! Whoever checks returns does a good job because I've bought a few other things and haven't had any issues with missing parts or defects.

Had the overflow pipe leaking. Plumber told me to find the part and he would come back to install. Thankfully it was easy to find and this was exactly what I needed
