Great!

I'm glad this was available being it is now discontinued by Kohler. This is a real Kohler product. And is way cheaper than when I bought this very same one years ago. The wife removed it from the wall and parts were lost. That was why I purchased from Amazon.

Wanted polished brass.

Wife wanted polished brass for remodeled bathroom. Matches our current Kohler faucet. Very sturdy.

Wasn't quite as described.

This is a nice looking product that matches nicely to the faucet I have in my powder room. But I was disappointed that it was described as having a pivoting feature (which it did not have). I liked it enough to keep it anyway.

Looks very elegant (in a Mira Lago country club way)

I bought my house with the Moen polished brass hardware throughout, which is very solid and not inexpensive to replace for four bathrooms. Two of the guestrooms had pedestal toilet paper dispensers which I don’t like so I was happy to find this design which is similar to my 14-year-old now just continued Moen hardware. Definitely an upgrade over the pedestal. I just wish that the rule itself had pins on the end as the originals did, Rather than the spring in the middle of the two piece roller that causes the tube to expand into the arms, which is a little less expensive to manufacture, but not as posative of a contact.

Solid implementation of a simple thing

It's hard to find decently made anything anymore, and I didn't have the time to read 8000 reviews, so I just went with the Kohler branded option. The nice things about this: 1) Actual metal used, including for the little spring bar that the roll sits on (although admittedly the spring bar itself is very light gauge) 2) Thoughtful use of wide bases to hide any damage done by the screws that hold this to the wall (in my case, I used better wall mounting hardware behind it, and the result is that the plaster and paint "curdled" a bit, but this was easily hidden behind the extra wide decorative bases) 3) Relatively intelligent modular design (not that this matters to the buyer) - but since I have several items from this collection, I can see how the manufacturing works and how they combine various basic pieces to make these things, and there is some nice design in there 4) Intelligent base cover tighteners - designed to go on in only one way, and tightening in such a way that they easily go flush to the wall. Again, none of this is rocket science, and these are over-priced (you're paying for the Kohler brand and the knowledge that you won't throw it away in disgust when you receive it). Finish not as expected

First off, I already had this same model holder, towel bar, fixtures...the works. I had a brilliant idea. My wife and child typically leave me in an awkward situation by 1) never replacing the empty TP roll on the holder or the spare kept on an in-reach shelf (it's not that hard to replace, she's just lazy or hates me, possibly both) or 2) running off with the spare on the shelf (3 year old, everything is a toy). To combat this lack of decency I thought "why not take a cue from public restrooms and have a double roll holder?" So I got a second holder of the same make and model in our favorite Oil Rubbed Bronze! Excited at this novel bit of cleverness and the prospect of never having to awkwardly ask for a roll again, I grab my hand drill and screw driver and the new holder package and go to install it. I open the holder package...annnddd it's .... it's a different color and finish. Definitely hinting at the oil rubbed style but absolutely not a match for my restroom fixtures previously acquired. I suspect the manufacturer changed the formula for the finish on this product line at some point but as its not a proper match for what I already had it would only aggravate my OCD and that's a stress nobody needs. Returned disappointed. Replacing all the other fixture would appear to be my only option but that's not in the budget and would be to unreasonable just to have a second roll holder on the wall.

FINALLY!!!

We'd gotten SO frustrated with jumbo toilet paper rolls that would not work with the design of our old holders. When a new roll was put on, we'd have to unroll the first part of each new roll onto the empty cardboard from the preceding roll. Otherwise, we'd end up getting one sheet at a time because the new roll was too tight and the sheets would tear at the perforation. We bought two of the Kohler toilet paper holders YESTERDAY and they were delivered free TODAY. Within an hour, they were perfectly installed by my husband. The instructions were great, the template was included - no problems.

Misleading advertising

The website stated pivot arm but it is spring loaded roll. Was very disappointed when it arrived. There is no pivot arm in the Devonshire line

I love that I could get it in brass

I love that I could get it in brass, as usually we do not get a choice of colour here in Canada, just the boring silver colour. Excellent quality, and is a great design.
