I have the same part number for an older toilet but kohler decided to change the height of the object at some point in time

Genuine Part - perfect fit!

It worked perfectly on my toilet, Kohler San Miguel. What a difference tot makes when the correct genuine part is used. I had to go to the Kohler website to do research which parts I needed to buy. It took me less than 1 hour to do complete inhalation, remove old fill valve and replace with new one. The price was great and all packages came on the original Kohler packaging.

Beware!!

I have 3 identical (different color) Kohler toilets made 1984. A recent plumber replaced the float valve on one, and then when when the toilet stuffed up the bowl overflowed; the bowl refilled much faster than the tank, the whole mess flowing onto the floor. Not nice, went into the basement, etc., etc.. I ordered an exact replacement part from Kohler, 9262, to fix this problem AND IT IS TOO TALL TO FIT IN THE TANK. Kohler has re-used the same part number for a different tank. I am not making this up. They said use 1138930. I did. beware, that there are several nozzles to feed the bole refill tube. Don't use the default one, I replaced it with the small nozzle brown one and the boll fills and stops exactly when the tank fills and stops. Others on this thread have also said the K30671 part is too tall for their tanks also. I am not the only one having this problem. Again, the 1138930 will work, just use a smaller bowl nozzle and you will be ok when the bowl stuffs up; It will not overflow now in this situation. Why does a 10 minute job take days and days these days???

This is a great replacement product but is not a universal fit. Be prepared to modify the length of the metal tube. It was about 4 inches too tall and did not fit into the toilet water tank. I had to cut the metal pipe and solder a coupler on it and then cut the connected plastic fill tube.. Now it works fine

Amazon sent defective product to me. Obvious hole in part.

Item arrived in box with a hole in the device. Not useful to me :-(

Works like a toilet should

Toilets should flush (without any fuss). Replacement part for a toilet from the 70's and it works.
