You can never get anything better than this
Knipex 989825US 7-Piece Insulated Commercial set is one of its kind. I have never got anything better than this. The tools are crafted to be held and they do not slip or give you a hard time to work with. There is something about the tools that I cannot place my finger on though, it is like they are self adjusting. On one hand the alligator pliers is a perfect example. It is a great precise fastener. You just select the size and then start off rolling your hand. It falls in place when you grip to turn. You do not have to feel for edges and flats! On the other hand the high leverage pliers is so sleek and smooth and very sharp. It feels like I only use ¼ of the torque compared to 'other tools' I have ever used. As for the phillips,square,and flat screw drivers, they are so great to hold and wonderful to torque that it is fun working. The texture was surely meant to be held by human hands. These tools are Germany made and I owned a wire stripper for 6 years before I accidentally kicked them overboard into the ocean while I was servicing a patrol craft navigation system way back in 2004.

Great quality product, 10 times out of 10 I'd buy these over Kleins anytime .
I have used knipex tools in the past, so I knew the quality was going to be better then any Klein journeyman series tool product, so I went ahead and purchased this knowing that I was buying a quality tool set. I'm very happy with my purchase. The compact size of the tool roll works out perfectly for the size of the bag that I carry for work. My only gripe is about the tool roll, and that I wish the pockets were a bit deeper. The side cutters cut like butter, and the feel of the grips are very smooth and natural. It fits very good in your hands and It's very night and day compared to journeyman series Klein pliers. Only thing I wish that was different was I wish they offered the side cutters in this kit with a crimper. But with that being said I'd recommend this brand to anyone who's looking to buy a very good set of tools. Side note , with them having a 1000 volt rating I doubt anyone's gonna try to steal these as they stand out.

Knipex tools. High quality tools that last.
I am very pleased with the quality of Knipex tools. My first was 2 pairs of waterpump pliers I purchased 30 years ago were Knipex. They are still in my tool box and they are well used and have given me excellent service. When I discovered Knipex was also making electrical tools I also started buying them and have never been disappointed. This set is my latest addition to my tool box and they are excellent tools that I am sure will give many years of service. The screwdrivers have easy to grip handles and comfortable to use. The diagonal cutters and the lineman's pliers also have nice handle grips and very good leverage for cutting. I read in another review that it would be nice if the drivers would have a symbol on the handle end identifying what kind of driver it is at a glance. I agree, that would be a very helpful if Knipex would do that however I am still satisfied with this tool set.

Great tools!!!
This is a really great set. Quality and design are top notch and the feel is so natural they feel like they were made for my hands.I could sit here and talk about all the great things about these tools for hours. So you get my point. The only thing that's missing that would make this better is the screw drivers. In my tool bag, butt end up, there's no identifying marks to show which screw driver is which.Almost all top notch screw drivers have some type of symbol on the end so that you can quickly identify what you want. Other then that they are perfect. Great protection, natural feel, comfortable, and the adjustable pliers are the best I've ever used. So I'm buying a couple of different sets soon. So over all I'm very happy.

too long of handles
I guess you would call me an appliance electrician. The diagonal cutters and the combo pliers have super long handles. For my task, they are too long. I would like these tool much more if they were more compact. Notice in the picture how the needle nose has smaller handles. They should all be like the needle nose. The diagonal cutter is tolerable, but the combos will likely go unused due to the excessive length. Quality is great.

About the Commercial Tool Set
Combination pliers, diagonal and alligator pliers model numbers DO NOT EXIST on the Knipex catalog or website... Why? Because these are the low cost Knipex tools (atramentized and polished BUT NOT chrome plated) with added multi component insulation grips. Such tools are not in the catalogs, apparently they're built specially for America, hence the "US" letters at the end of each of the tools codes. Don't get me wrong: these are excellent tools... and well priced too. I just got what I paid for and I'm content. Screwdrivers are Witte and they're OK. The canvas pouch is completely unbranded, but good quality.

Worth Every Penny
Great tools! Very comfortable and smooth operation. I work on hot circuits quite a bit and I have not felt that all too familiar tingling since I got this set.
