HIGHLY recommend, MUCH better than crutches
Broke my ankle & couldn't put any weight on it for 4 months. This was a life saver!! I can't imagine using crutches for 4 months. I read the reviews & bought one with two wheels in the back so I'd have better stability - it was the right choice. It could be a little prone to tipping depending on what you were doing and I could see how 3 wheels would make it more dangerous. I broke my ankle when I fell so didn't need to fall again. Also bought the hybrid - which just means the tires in the front were like bicycle tires, which required you to fill them with air, and the back tires were hard plastic/rubber. Not sure if the all-terrain version would've been better or provided a smoother ride but I had no trouble using it on paved areas (driveways, sidewalks, roadways, etc). VERY hard to use if you have carpet - thick carpet is even worse. The all-terrain version might move better on carpet. I have tile floors so not a problem but the ride gets bumpy if there are any breaks in the pavement (like sidewalks). It's true, you can't turn tight corners with this thing but it gets you around, and with a little practice, you can maneuver tight spaces. Might take you a little longer but you'll get there (if you're using this because of an injury - it's going to take you longer to do a lot of things so not a big deal in the overall scheme of things). I also got one with a basket which was immensely helpful - when you need your hands to hold yourself up or to move, you can't carry anything. I put groceries, my lunchbox, meals and drinks in my basket and shuttled them where I needed to go. After reading the reviews I bought a separate knee cushion and was thankful I did - highly recommend you spend $30 and get a well padded knee cushion. I HIGHLY recommend this scooter. It was also relatively easy to assemble. I assembled it, by myself, AFTER I broke my ankle & I couldn't walk. My only negative - the tires had to be inflated. If you get the basic Knee Scooter (which doesn't have the bicycle like tires) you won't need to inflate anything but it might give you a bumpier ride. The handles of this knee scooter did collapse so it fits in the back seat of a car (you have to take the basket off each time, no biggie) and it's a little heavy and cumbersome to lift in & out of the back seat of a car. But when it gives you mobility, you figure it out.

Excellent Knee Scooter
My husband broke his foot and is about 4 weeks into the 6 weeks he's prescribed to use the knee scooter. We did a lot of research before choosing this one and this is an excellent device. It's sturdy, easy to maneuver, and was easy to assemble. He's 6'5" so the fact that it adjusts high enough is a must. We thought he might be unstable with it, but it's absolutely stable. The knee scooter is soooo much easier than crutches (he still uses crutches for stairs/steps). When he's standing talking to people, he can sit on the seat to rest. This was an excellent purchase.

IMPORTANT SAFETY FEATURE IF YOU PURCHASE THIS SCOOTER
I was seriously injured when using this scooter for the first time, resulting in a trip to the emergency room and x-rays. I still need an MRI to determine extent of injuries. There is a vital mistake this company made in the packaging and in the instruction manual of this knee scooter. The company has reached out to me and has taken care of this issue and has taken steps to correct it. This is an excellent scooter and I support this company's proactive response to correct this safety feature. I totally endorse this product and this company who stands behind this product.

Great scooter for a good price
Wish we would have bought this months ago. Second foot surgery and needing to be non-weight bearing for 12 weeks. Rented a scooter the first time and it was not nearly as nice as this and ended up costing more than this purchase. They wheels are a comfortable ride, the basket is handy and easy to remove. We added the memory foam seat cover and it is very comfortable. You do need to assemble, takes a bit but it can be done.

Fantastic knee scooter!
This scooter is fabulous! I've been using it for 8 weeks now and it has been life saving!!! Will be taking it on a trip in a couple of weeks. I did buy an extra padding with cover for the trip as we are going to a music festival . Now I wish they would make one that was super portable, this one the handle will tuck down but I would be nice if they made a totally portable one for airplanes etc.

The best scooter
Having had the opportunity to try several scooters for the last 5 months (unfortunately), this one is the best. I read the reviews and thought I would spend the bucks and get a good one. Rubber wheels vs hard plastic ones is the way to go. Since this is my best friend for the next 8 weeks I’m glad I have a good one. The kids set it up took about 20 minutes

One to have if you are ANYWHERE with small obstructions on ground or floor...
My first scooter (different brand) had hard poly (plastic) front wheels. I felt every tiny pebble and crack in floor or street. The steering for the front wheels completely pivoted front wheels. A small stone caught the front left wheel, causing the entire front wheel column to jerk to left and I was thrown to the concrete floor. I was fortunate I wasn't hurt. The KneeRover Hybrid Knee Walker front wheels are more like your car. ONLY the wheels turn making is MUCH more stable. Also, the wheels are pneumatic and will roll over bumps and cracks with ease... Much safer and more comfortable... This is the way to go!

Knee Rover is very stable
I've been using the Knee Rover for about two weeks and have found it to be a life saver. We live in a park model and because of our limited space I thought I would be usung crutches only while at home. The Knee Rover was puurchased a few days prior to ankle surgery and practice in our home confirmed its awkwardness in tight spaces. After surgery the physical therapist fitted me with crutches and adjusted the seat and handle bars on the scooter to accommodate my height while wearing a shoe. The physical therapist encouraged me to learn to maneuver the scooter in small spaces as it would be much more stable compared to crutches. The therapist knows what he's talking about! Learn to pivot on the rear wheels. The scooter is far more stable, efficient, and safe than using crutches. The knee Rover is sturdy, good quality, folds down easily, and water proof! I can sit on the knee rest while using the handicapped shower at our pool (the ankle/leg cast is sealed in a plastic wrap).

Excellent
Got if for my ankle surgery, made life so much easier. Can kneel on, sit and use it as a rest option. The hybrid works well indoors, it’s slim enough for moving around the flat and sturdy enough for using outdoors on different terrains. So much fun, we can go for walks and I can make some distance without much stress for the rest of the body. Easy foldable to transport in the car, great to go shopping in the supermarket and to keep me independent as much as possible. Glad I’ve got it, great quality and worth the money.

Love it!
This particular model is very stable (with 4 wheels, 9" front wheels, and tie-rod steering). It is robustly constructed which adds to the stability - an important factor for me as I'm recovering from foot surgery. The parking brake works although it is stiff, which is why there were some complaints about it online (Tip: Squeezing hard on the tip end of the handle will help engage the parking brake). It comes with a very useful basket. After reading some of the negative comments about the knee rest (too hard, not padded enough), I also ordered the KneeRover memory foam pad cover at the same time that I ordered the knee scooter - this turned out to be a very wise decision and I highly recommend it. Beware though, with the foam pad, the knee rest will be that much higher from the ground (about 1.5" or so). I'm 5ft-2in tall and this is just about the height limit for me so if you are shorter, or have shorter legs, it could be an issue for your posture. The positioning of the knee rest is important - otherwise you could inadvertently introduce other body aches. In the photos, it looks like the handle bar is positioned lower, I have it raised higher which I found more comfortable for me. Our house is spacious so it was not cumbersome to negotiate the turns with this scooter - although its size may be an issue for places that are very small, with very narrow hallways or with lots of furniture. I'm using my knee scooter on the main floor where the kitchen is, and I have a set of crutches for use on other floors of the house. The scooter is 25.9 lbs.

Life changing
I use the knee rover as a permanent solution to easy the pain in my foot on long walks. It’s great to know that I can still go to the zoo or the amusement park or the museum with my young family. The alternative is not going because of the foreseeable pain. I added the purchase of knee cushion per other reviews. Adds comfort

Love this!
I occasionally have problems with my foot and have been considering this purchase for a while. Smooth, easy ride. I've used it indoors and some outdoor use. There was no problem riding it on the sidewalk. After reading several reviews, my expectations for the turning radius were not high. It seems like other people were disappointed with the turning capabilities, but I was already prepared to find that turning might be a challenge. It's not that big of a deal if your expectations are in line with the capabilities of the product.
