Single use product
Beware this will most likely only last for one or two holes. It does a reasonably good job on the first hole. But dulls very fast. I dunno, this may be par for the course on all step drills. Do you research. Use a lubricant. I used WD-40, but I'm not sure if this was the best option.

Did the Job
I purchased this bit the other day to do one job. Our (aluminum) storm door was installed by the previous owner who did not have the correct size bit. Our lock-set was not flush to the door. The only way to do this was to get a large bit. I had 4 holes to drill. The bit cut a nice clean hole on all, I was impressed. Two reasons why I gave the bit a 4 not a five star. I drilled 4 holes, will the bit last beyond these? The second reason was I thought the product was made in the US but the package says China. All and all, it did the job I needed to do!

WOW! WOW! WOW!
The is by far the best drill bit I have ever used. I needed to drill a hole in a stainless steel sink. I was installing a filtered water faucet. I had heard there were hardening issues when drilling stainless steel so I was nervous doing it. I watched a few you tube videos and most showed using a step drill bit. After reading the reviews on the Klein Tools KTSB14 Step Drill Bit I decided to purchase one. To keep the stainless steel cool, I placed ice cubes around the spot where I was going to drill the hole. I dipped the Klein Tools KTSB14 Step Drill Bit in a small bowl of water with ice cubes to keep it cool. Drilling at a very SLOW speed and applying a lot of pressure I started to drill the hole. At first it only made a dimple. I again dipped the bit into the iced water and then started drilling again but at a LITTLE faster speed. Once the bit started cutting there was no stopping. It cut like a hot knife in butter. I dipped the bit into the iced water for a third time and started drilling some more. In seconds I was done. The hole was perfectly cut thanks to the markings on the side of the bit and the bit was cold to the touch thanks to the iced water and slow speed I drilled at. It took longer to write this review than it did drilling the hole.

Meh.
I borrowed one of these from an electrician on the job to drill a hole in metal track to install an all-thread rod for a hold down. as far as drilling the hole it worked great. however, it fell out of my drill when I was removing it to give it back. It fell from waist high and the cutting tip broke off very easily. this tool retails for $65, not worth it in my opinion, should not break that easily. once the cutting tip is broken, it's a $65 paper weight. I have had a similar Temo step bit for several years, bounced it of the ground a few times and still works like new and 1/2 the price.

One of the best uni-bits I have ever used.
I have used this on many different metals and it has held its cutting ability very well.

Spend the money, it's worth it
I was heading to an island off the west coast to erect a galvanized steel building and needed to increase the diameter of the baseplate holes from 1/2" to 7/8". The base plates are roughly 1/16" (16 gauge). Because I couldn't just run out an get another bit should one fail, I ordered three different brands of bits. The first two were under $20, so if they worked, great... if not, hopefully this more expensive bit would get the job done. I needed roughly 30 holes expanded. The first bit drilled only a single hole, the second made four holes before it gave out. This bit (which as definitely more expensive) did the job, and then some. I highly recommend spending the money if you have a similar need.

Klein Tools KTSB15 Step Drill
This step drill is the best tool I have found to very quickly yet reliably create the 3 standard hole sizes required to connect small diameter conduit to a steel electrical equipment box. It cuts a hole through steel plate much faster than a hole saw, and creates a perfect hole leaving no burrs. This step drill is evidently of high quality consistent with its cost, and I expect it will continue to perform well for many more jobs than similar less expensive products being sold.

Pretty good
I originally gave this bit 3 stars but have to change my review. It used to leave a sharp lip that needed to be removed on every knockout I made with it, however after a few months of use it started to perform much better. I don't really understand why it needed time to "wear in" but the sharp lips are not an issue anymore. Its a good bit, but for whatever reason it takes a bit of use to start performing well. Good deal if you exercise a bit of patience.

not strong enough
The tip was broken when I was drilling soft(ACR) copper. It was my second time to use it. I am quite disappointed because I can't return it at this point even though it is almost brand new..
