Drooled Over This Set For Years

Some dudes buy the cheapest tool they can find that gets the job done. Some buy only the best brand name / most expensive / or highest status tools available. I try to buy what actually gets used by the guys who use the tools the most. I don’t need a No. 2 Phillips in every room in my house. I can only use one No. 2 at a time. When you use the right tool it makes work a pleasure. Look at what most electricians, finish carpenters, plumbers / HVAC guys carry. When I needed to replace my basic kit, Klein was a no-brained.

Amazing tool kit

I am in trade school for HVAC and purchased this and I couldn't be happier with this kit. Only issue I have is the wire strippers are very annoying because they will not stay closed so I removed the spring and I recommend you to do the same. The linemans are excellent and I will never use anything else. The dikes are amazing and the long nose are great but they seem to require the most time to get broken in but I love them all the same. The screwdrivers are perfect. I highly recommend this kit to anyone who takes pride in their tools and wants USA made quality in their tool bag. These are tools that will last and make you money and you can depend on. Great value for the $.

If tools play a role in your profession/job do not cheap out

When you put into consideration the price of all 6 tools purchased individually, it's a no brainer. I definitely recommend to any new electrician or even an existing. Been one for almost 2 years and have had nothing but hand me downs until I purchased this. Reason being why I held off so long is the best way to learn is to fail. I blew up my kleins and pliers a couple times on commercial jobs, rusted them out, broke tips on 5 in 1's etc. Not sure how well these would hold up to 277 or 480 but I would not test it ( you could die). As long as you know what you're doing and take precautions before someone says "Cut it!", these are very well built. A little stiff but nothing 3 in 1 oil couldn't lubricate. The wire strippers are nice and snappy and plenty sharp.They are small but the grip on them has a pleasant soft texture.

Easy to find in a tool pouch

I bought this kit for a new job as an industrial mechanic. The best part about this kit is that I can see what every tool is without having to take it out of my tool pouch. The stamps on the screwdriver handles and the different colors on the plier handles are very helpful when I'm in a hurry or working with one hand and holding something with the other. I have two problems with the set, and they are just nitpicking details. The wire stripper is not very useful, I swapped it out for a pair with connection crimper, and other little extras. The other problem is that the needle nose pliers are a little too "beefy" to get into everything easily. They are very sturdy and hold up to a lot of twisting, so I think it's worth the trade-off but it's not perfect

Got a repackaged return. Amazon is handling it.

I'm an electrician. Klein is the gold standard. You won't be disappointed with genuine Klein Tools. However this listing has the chance of providing you with some dudes old tools who took the original tools and repackaged it for a return. So I was one of the unlucky ones who got screwed here. Be careful and alert Amazon if you get screwed. Update: Amazon sent me the new and proper box of tools. I am very satisfied with their customer service and appreciate their help.

First year apprentices should get this.

Every basic Klein hand tool you’ll need in your first year. All high quality you should expect and great price. I bought it as a backup for the Klein’s I already have. Just in case some drywaller steals my tools. :)

This is an excellent price for this set of Klein electrician tools. The lineman pliers are $80 on their own! And these are the real deal and excellent tradesman product.

Solid tools

For starting out on a basement electrical project, this was the perfect set to get me set up. All of the tools are very sturdy and from what I could see at prices at home depot, this was a great deal.
