Could have been all I was liking for

This scale is really great in all areas but where it counts the most: accuracy and reliability. The one thing that I bought this for, it can not do. It takes forever for this scale to settle on a number and when it finally does, what it displays is not reliable. If I take whatever I weigh off, wait for the scale to zero out and then put the exact same thing on again, the scale does not give me the same number. I can play this game several times with a different outcome each time. Eventually the scale will no longer jump to 0 and instead shows -1g or 2g, but then goes back to 0 on another try. The best I can get from this scale is an estimate. It’s a pity too, because this scale is otherwise exactly what I was looking for. It is well made, seems durable, looks great, is easy to use, easy to read, even waterproof(!!) and easy to clean; but it can not make up its mind when it comes to weight. I ordered another scale and actually don’t like it as much as this one, but it is accurate, so it stays while this one goes back. On another note. This scale arrived with brand new shrink wrapped batteries, but one of them was completely dead on arrival. The scale turned on, showed the “LOW” warning and then turned off. It took me a moment to realize that the batteries might be the problem. When I went to get the battery tester it confirmed that there were two full and one completely dead battery. The instructions say to always replace all batteries and never mix and match or use partially used batteries. There is a very small chance that the batteries may have caused an issue or that this scale is a lemon, but I am not really patient enough to get a replacement at this off chance. Far more likely that it is in fact just an unreliable scale.

Works great

The product is overall great, the only reason I gave it 4 stars is because it has a max of 11lbs on the big scale but is still plenty for regular use, easy to use and has multiple ways of displaying the information grams, oz, lbs, is compact, and looks nice. gets the job done

Clear display and reliable

It took me a second to realize that the Ib and oz were not an either or situation. It reads as __ IBs and _ ounces. It’s pretty consistent and easy to store for the most part. The device is easy to turn on though if you have limited space and other things need to be stored on top of it.

Cool Design

Very universal scale with so many uses. Love the combo of the large and small platforms with the different weights. Will come in handy for all my baking and crafting needs. KitchenAid always comes out with a great product and this doesn't disappoint.

Worked great until it didn’t

We’ve only had this product since January of this year. It was working very well until yesterday. It would not turn on and so we changed the batteries. The screen lit up with the battery change, but the power/Tare button has stopped working. When it times out and shuts off, the only way to turn it back on is to remove a battery then push it back in. You then have to quickly set it down and put a bowl on it before it “zeros”, because you can’t use the Tare function. I’m unimpressed that the scale didn’t even last me a year.

Very bad after-sales service

I bought one and used it for about a month. Suddenly it doesn't work. I changed the battery and still nothing. It's all understandable because all products have some defect rates. I tried to contact the supplier and get it repaired or replaced. I stayed on call for 30 minutes and explained my situation, the customer representative said she's going to transfer me to another department. I waited for another 30 minutes and got the same answer again, she said it's not her apartment and transferred me. It is a cheap piece of equipment, but I still wish to be again to repair or replace it when it breaks in such a short of time.
