Works Well
The directions are a bit off, they work well in my Jon Boat. I did modify by adding aluminum angle pieces in order to compensate for rounded seat corners.

Excellent Quality
Have purchased several of these over the years and they are great. I don't use the back piece and never have. These are the #1 best option for a simple aluminum boat seat and are well made. Highly Recommend!

Requires Modifications
These brackets wouldn’t have worked for me without modifications, If your benches have curved edges, then you may have to come up with something similar. I used 2x2 1/4” thick aluminum angle to bridge the gap of the curved edge to be able to screw into the flat parts of the bench. 3x3 would have worked better, but then you might have clearance issues with the bolts connecting the swivel to the slider bracket. The aluminum angle also gives a smooth surface to slide the bracket along, as opposed to the dented up old bench, I used 1” #14 screws for all the holes on the vertical surface, #12 flat headed screws for the vertical surface, I ran a piece of 5/16 all thread through the bench on either side to make it more secure, as stainless toggle bolts are extremely expensive and I didn’t trust just screws into aluminum. Note that on the 33” model, there are four holes on the front horizontal surfac area, the two in the middle I left out because I could not get a screw to lay flush because they slide off the curved part of the seat, the margin between this rail and the sliding bracket is next to nothing so if your screws aren’t flush, the bracket won’t clear, You will also need a piece of 1/4” thick flat bar on the back bracket to provide the same height increase. Make sure your angle isn’t pivoted forward (down) when securing. the bracket will have a harder time(impossible) sliding because of the pressure caused when you pin the back side of the bracket down with the rear track. This happened to me on my front 15” track, fortunately I don’t really need that one to slide. Lube the tracks up with white lithium grease. If you aren’t willing to do some rigging, this probably won’t work for you. They could easily modify their design to make it more user friendly, but this was the best thing I could find on the market. The 33” is good for the driver seat on a tiller powered boat, gives you enough room to slide to the middle when not driving. You will not be able to slide while sitting and when sliding pulling from the lowest point on the seat will aid in smoother sliding.I’m happy with the outcome but had to put a lot more money into extra materials to make it work.

Sturdy item but poor on hardware
The first thing I need to say is these rails require a bench seat that is essentially square cornered where the top of the seat meets the front of the seat. Reason: The mounting rail closest to the viewer has a "leg" that actually hangs down in front of the seat and there are 4 mounting holes in it. So rounded cornered seats like mine do not work with it. Secondly, the total front to back dimension is 11.5 inches. The front bracket hangs over the edge of the front of the boat bench seat by 1 inch. So you are looking at a minimum seat width of 10.5 inches to mount this system. There are 10 mounting holes in the front rail and six in the rear rail. The hardware only package only had six phillips oval-headed sheet metal screws, four hex-headed sheet metal screws, and four machine screws with nuts. Not enough of any of them to do the job. I did not determine if the hardware was stainless steel or not. There were no instructions - which would have been helpful if the variety of mounting hardware was supposed to work. A nice touch is that the front rail ends were encapsulated with a plastic guard over the sharp saw-cut edges. These are not shown in the photo. The seat mounting plate clears the top of the boat's seat by maybe 3/16". Here's something to consider: the back of the seat plate will rest on the top of the boat's seat. As you slide the seat back and forth, it will scrape the paint or aluminum of the boat's seat. Lastly, the seat is not removable without taking one of the rails off. The front edge is locked into a semi-circular groove and the back of the seat mounting plate is locked under the rear mounting rail. Anyway, hope these comments help. Follow up 7/18/2013: I posted 8 helpful pictures that are still in my profile area but apparently the seller has turned that feature off and they are not showing up now. Maybe you can see them at my profile if you can access that.Click on the button that says: "See all # images".

Only solution available for bench seat aluminum boats
Firstly, if anyone has a better way to mount swivel boat seats on a aluminum bench seat boat (where you cant access the other side of mounting surface)then I'm all ears! The problem is two fold 1. unable to access the underside of the mounting surface since it's filled with foam. 2. Thin aluminum cant support the strain of a full size adult pushing and pulling on the seat, especially in waves. The solution is this Wise bracket. Works well but only time will tell. I'm assuming at some point the screws will loosen or rip out of the aluminum bench seat material. It's not wise's fault but it is what it is. I think they should double the number of screws and screw holes in both rails. It would distribute the strain of a person hanging on in the waves bouncing back and forth. What you are getting is two aluminum rails which you at to your bench set. Thef you attatch the mounting bracket to your swivel base/seat. Then you seat slides onto the rails. It's a bit of a PITA to get the seat started in the track, but you get used to it. I will update and upgrade to more stars if they last a couple more seasons before ripping out of the thin aluminum.

Works and nice to have slides
It works... tight on the slides. Grease works for a bit. I would buy again. The plastic end broke on mine when I slid it to the end now it will just slide right out of the bracket. Not worth my time removing it and sending back. I will live with what I got. Its too bad that is a weak spot.

Good but could be better
So the product works excellent with some work. It now functions like a 5 star product but it took alot of work to get there which is why i gave it 3 stars. First of all i read reviews so had a good idea what to expect so was prepared to do the work needed. Hardware that comes with it is completely useless but i expected that from the reviews. Edges required about 30 mins of file work to take of the burs and sharp edges so it would slide. These are things i expected by reviews that are things they really should sort out. Now for a few things i didnt expect. That clearance is very minimal and thats a bit of a design issue as it really limits the types of screws/bolts you can use. Also the clearance under the seat is not enough. I mounted i slide in/out mount so my seats can be removed and there is not even enough clearance for a lock nut without a washer. I ended up welding a regular nut on the back then grinding the nut and bolt down untill i had clearance. Also make sure to grease the tracks. After all this it does work great but if they increased clearance by 1/4" and cleaned up there edges they would have a 5 star product

I Recommend This Product
Great low profile design...Easy on & off....had to cut and reweld the bracket that bolts to the seat as I wanted my fold down seats to be centered on the Aluma Craft seats. Turned out Awesome.
