Awesome solution for two-way switches
I ordered these as part of our home automation project. We're slowly replacing the light switches in our house so that we can operate them with Apple Home kit. These sets with a switch and a remote are perfect for two-way light switches. Just install the switch at one location, and cap off the second switch and mount the remote. Set up the remote to control the same light, and you have your two-way switch without all the fuss. This is also a good solution if you want to automate a room that has a switch in an inconvenient location. My home office has two doors, and the switch isn't located near the door I use most, so I used one of these sets and mounted the remote in a convenient location so that I now have an easily accessible switch when I'm not using my phone to operate the lights.

Just What I Needed
I bought this to replace an old X10 remote system that I was using to turn on my outdoor light from inside my car. It had been programmed to use my car’s built-in garage door remote to turn on my front door light. Installing the smart light switch was easier than I’d hoped it would be. Then you only have to create a Lutron Home account to use it. The setup in iOS using the Lutron app and Apple HomeKit integration made it very easy to allow me to use Siri commands through both my Apple Watch and iPhone. I thought I’d miss the convenience of my car’s built-in remote to turn on my outdoor lights, when I arrived home after dark. This is even easier and way more secure. One thing I wasn’t expecting: If your car supports Apple CarPlay, you can use Siri right through your car’s steering wheel voice command button. I’ve been using it to tell Siri to turn on my outside lights. It’s way easier to do that, than my old method of using the programed garage door remote built into my car’s rear-view mirror. The limited transmitter range meant that it only worked when you were already in the driveway. This can do it from the other side of the world, if necessary and I don’t have to worry about someone stealing the codes from the remote to break into my home.

Very easy to setup
My previous system was Insteon with a Universal Devices ISY hub. You nearly needed to be a programmer to set it up but you had a lot of control. When I was out of town, I enabled lights in various locations to come on so it looked like I was home. This system is very easy to set up but you I don't see a way to disable a schedule (only delete) and you must setup a schedule to turn a light on and another schedule to turn it off.

Buy them on sale
Lutron makes the best Wi-Fi Smart Dimmers and switches you can buy. They are extremely responsive when integrated with Apple HomeKit or Amazon Alexa. The price is high, but when you factor in the pico remote that is often bundled it feels like a better deal. The pico remotes are great. They’re easy to use and relatively affordable. I put one on my nightstand and another on my wife’s nightstand and we use them to control the lights in the bedroom, or we just ask Alexa to do it for us. The price of the switch itself is pretty high but they frequently go on sale so pick them up at a discount and you won’t be disappointed

Works great once you get them installed
Overall I like these Lutron switches, and I have several throughout my house—mostly for outdoor lights and outdoor structures. If they're close enough to your hub, they're fairly easy to integrate with the Lutron app—but they can't be too far away. I had to add a lamp plug-in switch to use as an extender to make my shed light work. The one little thing I wish they would modify is to put heat sink breakaways on the top and bottom. They put them on the sides in case you have to put them in a double- or triple-ganged box. But I put a couple in outdoor structures and they won't fit a standard Raco 4-inch Decora plate without having to cut the metal at the top and bottom of the switch. See attached photos.

What I Should Have Bought in the First Place
Background; skip to next paragraph for details. I am retired from a career in energy conservation and control, with a specialty in lighting. I bought a home last year, and as I realize I am getting older and less capable, I decided to go heavy on home lighting control and automation. I already had extensive experience with Alexa-based plugs and bulbs; I decided to go to something hub-based to gain a bit more versatility in control, and to scratch my geek itch. I bought a Hubitat hub and both Zigbee and Z-Wave based switches, dimmers, and fan controllers. Most work fine, but, I ran into issues with one brand of product and ended up pulling it all out and starting again. Enter Lutron. I really didn't want to have to fuss with yet another hub and integration step, but having experience with Lutron from my working days, I decided to give it a try. I can't be more pleased! For those who do not plan on any home automation, their hub is not needed; just follow the instructions in the box. Setting up extra switches as in, say, a three- or more way system is so easy it makes falling off a log seem hard. I ran into a couple of issues on installing Lutron, but this is because my house has some rather odd wiring anomalies. All but one of the tech support people were they very height of courtesy and their knowledge of the products was first rate. One tech seemed impatient. Noo Yawk accent, interrupting constantly, and I could almost SEE him waving his arms in the air at the other end of the line! LOL But! The main point is, he also was highly knowledgeable and got my situation resolved in minutes. Lutron is expensve compared to other product lines, but had I to do all of this over again, I'd ONLY be using Lutron.

Had some issues but customer support was incredible
Initially I installed this switch and it just worked. However after a month, the product stopped working and wouldn’t pair with the app anymore. I called Caseta’s customer support and they were amazing, they promptly sent me out another unit that hasn’t had any issues. The product itself works reliably and is responsive in my HomeKit home

The media could not be loaded. Had 2 3way switches when we rebuilt. Electricians dont always apply logic re: application(terrible location for 2nd switch). Needed 3rd switch, was not prepared to cut walls open for 3rd (4way) switch. I've read about these caseta switches for a while. Suggested application re: 3way switch with caseta was replace switch at one of your current locations and remove and jumper 2nd switch location, then mount remote switch where toggle switch was. NOPE, after some googling i found lutron PDF for instructions. Its 93 pages worth(pg 33,34,35), but yes you can turn your 2 current 3way switches to a 4way. Mount 3rd switch where its practical. (Replace 1 switch with this switch(suggest primary or starting switch within the string), reuse your 2nd 3way switch, mount pico remote in 3rd location.) Instructions were challenging but did reach the finish line. Nov.4th Completed and love it. Note. Remote wall mount stands "proud" at top half (will not mount flush on wall, causing gap on wall plate), will fit if you mount on a box. Pic shows how i laid out location relative to 5 gang plate and how i carved recess into drywall. Tip: identify wires (wring out). You can use tape and mark with pen, i used colored heat shrink. FYI Some insite is missing on most reviews/answers. All of your homes use/need neutral. Where the confusion sets in is that some switch junction boxes only have 2 wires plus a ground. (If your house was built before the '60s you might only have 2 wire system. Hot and neutral and no ground). The reason for this confusion is how your house was wired. In many cases, the person wiring the house was saving money! In order to save money, they wired the hot(line) to the light fixture. Then they created a "loop" with a 14/2 to the switch back to the light(load). Like others have stated, the black and white wires are then technically both black. (A skilled tradesman would then mark the white wire as black). By running wire in this fashion, he would save "x" number of feet of wire for every house he wired. If cutting corners wasn't a priority, the hot(line) was run to the switch 1st. And from the switch to the load, thereby having a neutral wire in the switch junction box(these will be joined/terminated with a wire nut/marrete).

Easy to install.

Best light switches out there!
Our whole house is set up on this brand and they work wonders. We can control either through Siri our the Lutron App. Just as long as you have a good wifi connection these will never cause you issues.

Easy to install and to add a 3 way switch
Easy to install and to add a 3-way switch. One of the few switches that does not require a neutral. This pair has not failed me yet :)
