Board is very nice.
The board is worth the price. The velvet covered foam piece was too difficult for us to make work. We ended up buying another cover. The arrowhead shaped board was still worth buying even without using the cover. And FJB

Works as advertised.
I have eight racks displayed on this plaque. It works as advertised. What more can you ask if a product.

loose fit around bases
some modification may be needed to fit antler bases to suit your preference.

Needs better hardware
For starters I had mixed feeling when I ordered this horn mound for the reviews I read had neg and positive notes. Had a deer rack from couple years ago that I finally decided to mount up. Upon checking the product out and materials I wasn’t sure how it would turn out, while trying to screw the bracket straps down the screws twisted right off, which was one the things I read review about, so you’re then left with pre drill a hole and find and use a screw that won’t come through the board. the middle piece is a formed out of styrofoam and absolutely would not fit over my horned correctly. Required me to have to cut of more of the scull basically up to base of horned then had to keep fit testing and cutting out of the foam to finally get it touching the board. You should just find right size bit and pre drill everything prior to install. There are no holes in the back showing where to place the hanger bracket so you will have to measure and mark that out and drill holes where needed for hanger nails slightly. The mounting board however is nice and heavy material, just need better hardware to accommodate it. If I weren’t a bit of a McGyver then I would have been lost but with my state of mind and the price was great I made it the best it can be I think. So where the picture shows paradors, this was still going to show after mid section was in place so I wrapped around below the base of horned and hot glued the ends whatcha think? All in all good product for the price just need to improvise..

Great cheap mounting kit
First off this is a great cheap mounting alternative, if you buy this expecting a top quality kit then you’re missing the point. The wood is not real, and the plaque that comes with them is pretty thin. I purchased both color options, the green is quite dark until light hits it & the red stands out quite a lot on the wall. I highly recommend this cheap kit, great for smaller sized antlers.

Great bang for the "buck"
Ok, so some may fuss about this plaque but the fact of the matter is, no set of antlers are the same size and no Buck's skull plate is going to be the same size so there's no way the can make a perfect antler plaque. For the money you can't go wrong. Use your ingenuity and take your time and enjoy putting together a display for your trophy. I have done 10 of these and my best advice is to not get in a hurry to put it together, cut the skull plate as flat and straight as possible directly, straight down behind the base of the antlers otherwise the velvet cap wont anchor all the way down onto the plaque. Also, have your drill, screwdrivers and a hammer at hand and enjoy putting together your very own trophy.

Looks good
For the price it is worth while. I mounted a mule deer 8 pt 13" high by 20" wide. Rather than the braketts they sent I drilled different holes and ran deck screws into the antlers. I did have to carve some styrifoam out of the felt scul cap cover to make it fit better.

sizing
the styrofoam form between antlers was too wide, so removed it, screwed the skull to the plaque and glued the cloth around the antler base and to the back of skull. Fit it on a small 8 point.

Time Consuming Kit
It is probably best to make a plaque out of real wood and the Asian board blend has to be pre-drilled, otherwise there will be problems with the screws. It was actually a fair amount of work to modify my 8 pt rack using the dremel. In addition, I dug out most of the stryofoam cover and got fairly good results with the $ 29.46 kit plus tax.
