A must have for me
This kit is a bit pricey in my opinion but I would still buy it again especially for a first time delivery. My thoughts on each component First, the not so amazing. The gown and socks are unnecessary. The no slip socks are nicer than that which you’ll get in the hospital, but not by much and the cheapies you get in the hospital are not so uncomfortable to warrant getting a minor upgrade. My advice, spring for some nice compression knee highs instead. The gown was fine. Decent quality and pretty standard delivery gown in cut and features. It wore like a structureless bag on me and so it didn’t make me feel any different than wearing a hospital gown except my booty was on display since the back of this gown has back side Velcro closure. My delivery was blessedly short and I didn’t mind the immodesty of the hospital gown so I ended up not using the frida gown for more than a brief few minutes. On the other hand the Disposable boy shorts were a huge wardrobe upgrade. The hospital definitely has disposable panties and adult diaper/pull ups however the frida mom quality is impressive and puts the freebies to def shame. The boy shorts are, dare I say, comfortable! Also durable. I loved these. The ice pads…yes please!! The ice pads provided by my hospital were ok, but they had actual ice in them and created a mess when melted. The frida pads were fully enclosed, easy to use, more absorbent and indispensable! I bought extra bc I wanted some for my home recovery from a minor perineal tear. Awesome. Witch hazel foam and pantry liners: the hospital provided little round tucks (essentially the panty line but a different shape) and no foam. The panty liner is a definite worthwhile upgrade. In those first few hours and days of recovery, when putting together the soothing sandwich from the frida mom components, having something that fits perfectly and doesn’t requiring finagling is really such a relief. The foam really kicks the relief up a notch. And like I said, this was one of the few things not provided in some form by the hospital. Lastly the bidet-esq bottle was nice. Like the gown and booties, no real difference or upgrade compared to the little squirt bottle provided on the maternity unit. The bag is a cute touch and definitely a nice way to keep everything together in the hospital and at home. As a first timer I was really worried about being as comfortable as possible and having the supplies I needed at the time I needed them. It’s fair to say I got way too much in general! But this purchase was way worth it in my opinion.

Everything I wish I had 9 years ago
This product and company Frida mom is EVERYTHING!!!! I would recommend this 10/10 to all mamas especially those who had tearing or an episiotomy because the cooling pads came in clutch! Everything that comes in this kit you will use and be thankful that you had them. Postpartum care has come a long way from when I had my oldest daughter back in 2014.

Nice Products
I feel great about having this product ready for whenever I go into labor. It's nice to know that I won't be totally unprepared, no matter what happens (or when). I will update this review after baby arrives, as well. First of all, this came in a bigger box than I expected and was definitely heavier than I expected! I'm on modified bed rest but figured I could go down to grab this when it arrived at my apartment. For those of you who were told by their doctor not to lift anything heavy, you can probably get away with it, but you might want to have someone else grab it for you instead. The packaging was very nice, I think the products look great. I tried on the gown, socks, and a pair of the underwear and I think they will be nice! I still haven't decided if I want to wear the gown during labor or just put it on after, but I am going to wash it beforehand with Dreft, because I think that would be nice and out of the box I thought it smelled a little bit like disinfectant or something. It for just about right on me (195 lbs, 32 weeks pregnant), I like the pockets and the snap front for skin to skin. I was a little worried that the whole caddy of stuff wasn't going to fit on the back of the toilet, but it does! Even with the seat or lid up. But if you don't have enough space between the toilet and the wall, it might not work very well. Again, I'm impressed so far and I'll update after baby is born. Update: Baby Arrived on his due date, 9 lbs 4 oz! Here's my updated review of these products after using them. Hospital gown: I liked it a lot while in labor when I got to the point where I didn't want to be in my normal clothes anymore. It was easy to get an epidural while wearing it, and I wore it during labor and when he was born! It worked great for skin to skin afterwards, but it got so messy I knew I didn't want to keep it, so I had the nurse cut the shoulders of it so I could take it off with my IV still in, and I threw it away. I really liked it while using it though! Grippy socks: I did use them for a while, but I wouldn't say they are an improvement over any other hospital socks, except that they were only ankle height. I will say that they didn't fit well when my feet were swollen after labor though. Postpartum Underwear: I used these only when I got home from the hospital, they were great and comfy but I didn't feel the need or desire to buy more of them. The extras from the hospital and depends were great too. Ice Pack Pads: These are amazing, and I bought two more boxes of just these pads from Target when I ran out. They are such a relief when you are particularly sore and want something other than a normal pad. Witch Hazel Pad Liners: These are ok. The concept is cool, that they are long and cover the whole pad, but in reality they bunch up or fall down while you are pulling up the pad or while wearing it. I also found that I greatly prefer just buying containers of Tuck's and laying them along the pad. The name brand is so much better because the Tuck's pads are thicker and have more witch hazel on them and are more cooling. I did really like that this pack of liners is more portable than an entire container of Tuck's, so I keep it in my bag for when I go places and need to be able to change my pad. Witch Hazel Foam: I really liked this stuff! Extra cooling and soothing, and it felt like it got more into the nooks and crannies that were hurting down there, and helped everything feel better. There is a lot in one pump bottle, too! I would have bought a second bottle if my Target ever had it in stock. Angled Peri Bottle: I love that it's angled and you can easily reach everywhere with the water. I love that it can hold more water than the bottle from the hospital. I don't love that at 2 weeks postpartum, suddenly it seems that the bottle leaks or drips a lot near the spout. Still worth it though, and I still use it every time despite the drips. Carry bag: Love it for when I'm out and about, but I don't bring everything with me because I'm mostly just at home and don't want to keep packing and unpacking the things I need in the bathroom. I keep the hospital Peri Bottle in it with the witch hazel liners from this set, along with some maxi pads and some underwear or depends. Then I stuff the whole bag in the diaper bag and I can handle a bathroom trip when away from home.

I loved this product after I gave birth to my son and I bought one for my sister in law and friend for their baby shower and they both ended up with a c section

First degree tearing
I got this kit in preparation for vaginal birth. I had my son 3/7/23 and ended up with a first degree tear. This kit has pros and cons, I never used the gown, never used the one use ice pack, or peri bottle. The socks are extremely comfortable, the wipes are absolutely amazing (but they’re also just like the preparation H Wipes), and the healing foam is a must have. Idk if I’d spend the money on this kit again, I’d probably just invest in the items I liked separately and call it a day. Once I got home I stopped using the disposable underwear from this kit and moved on to the always discreet underwear, so the rest just went unused.

Waste of money
I didn’t use half the products. Don’t waste your money. I tried to use the ice pack pad and it made walking uncomfortable ( I was waddling). I just turned around and took it off. A regular pad did the job better.
