Installation problem
Ratings: Ease of Installation: 0 Appearance: 4 Sturdiness: 4 Similar to what Tom reported in separate review, the set screw will not engage the folded flap of the installation bracket if the bracket is installed flush to the wall (as instructed). I fixed the problem by using a stiff plastic spacer 0.054 inch thick between the bracket and the wall. This worked well. I used two 1.5” #8 sheet metal screws through 0.5” drywall and around 0.9” into a stud. Recommend spacer be in 0.048-0.055 inch thickness range so that brass fits to the wall and the set screw engages the bracket (if bent differently, you may need to change spacer thickness).

Defective mounting bracket on multiple rings AND soap dish.
Defective mounting bracket is used on the soap dish too, but different version on towel bars. The tab that the set screw is supposed to engage is too short and must be bent to work. Most people probably won't realize that and will send the item back! Note the pic. The one with longer tab is from the towel bars. Same bracket used on the soap dish and must be bent to work.

looks great
I got this to replace the same brand, different finish when I switched out my faucet and light fixture to matte black. Looks like. Was very easy to install onto the old plate- they are the same brand. Took about 2 minutes total.
