Does a great job
The vacuum was very easy to assemble and use. The only con I can find is the maneuverability, as you can see I gave it 4 stars for that. It's a bit clumsy to move around since the vacuum head does not swivel. I do find it much quieter than my previous bagged stand up, as well as my previous unbagged canister. The pleasant surprise for me was that the motorized head was height adjustable. Due to the suction control on the wand and the height adjustment the vacuum does my tile floors, rugs, and the shag rug in my bedroom without effort. I really do like that all attachments are stored in the vacuum. I would definitely recommend this vacuum. PS: I would recommend separating the hose from the body of the vacuum as it will make it easier to steady yourself, holding the railing while taking it up the stairs. I does only weigh 26 pounds. Also there is not an LED light to signal that the bag needs to be replaced, but there is an indicator on the motorized head to let you know it's time to change the bag. And there is not a "head light" on the head of the vacuum. I did not find these a deal breaker. Overall I would give this vacuum at least 4 stars. Okay I've had this vacuum for a few weeks now. I think it does a great job. Being a bagged vacuum the air seems cleaner. It's not as noisy as I thought it would be. My pup does not run up the stairs when I use it. She just lies in her bed next to the couch and watches me. I would definitely recommend this vacuum.

This Kenmore as ALMOST as good as my old one...
I've had a Kenmore canister vacuum for years and just love it. It was used and abused. Easy to manuver and use up stars. But then it finally broke into pieces. Literally... Still worked like a champ but there was too many parts broken from abuse. It lasted for 25+ years so I decided to buy another one. The new one is ALMOST as good as the old. If you don't know, there is a groove in the bottom so when you vacuums stairs, you can pull it up by the hose and it will sit on the stairs as you go. Great design. My first gripe is that the cord reel doesn't pull the cord back very well. Which you just push a button on the top of the vacuum and it should pull it all the way in. In the Newer model, the self winding spring just isn't very strong and pulls the cord in like 90%. All but around 3 feet go back in. Then you have to feed it in slowly. Unsure if I just got unlucky with this one but it doesn't pull all the way in. Second gripe is the hardwood floor attachment was re-designed. The old one was a single piece of plastic that stayed on the floor. This new design has a pivot point and when you pull back towards yourself, the head of the hardwood floor attachment lifts off the floor and it loses suction. Bad design! Just bad. Why make a good design worse?? I don't know but they did. The carpet head works well. But they removed the light in the new model. Picks up dirt very well. Who vacuums in the dark anyway? Well, we all do because the hallways, closets, and under beds are dark so they should include it. I did buy the "Amazon Renewed" product which was around $100 cheaper but it just came in a beat up box but the vacuum was unused and new. Plastic was still on it! Take a gamble and go for the Amazon Renewed one. You will save a lot! And don't worry about the purple color. It's a vacuum and looks fine! Pros: Great suction easy to pull around Very easy on stairs Attachments are built into the top of the vacuum Cons: Hardwood floor attachment has a pivot and lifts off the floor Cord reel isn't as good as the older models

Great for handicapped
I bought this to replace a cheap, bagless vacuum. I love the bags this vacuum uses…how effective was it? I filled the bag after two uses. I especially love the on/off switch on the handle. I am wheelchair-bound and turning off the vacuum is super easy. I love how the electricity, which runs the carpet attachment, runs. The attachment for the carpeting comes off easily. The only problem: suction is poor for a hard surface (concrete in my case). I was extremely impressed with the early delivery and with the delivery person ringing my doorbell…again, I am wheelchair-bound and not having to wait for a delivery was very nice. I would buy a Kenmore again.

Nice vacuum
Works good. Suction is great, manoeuvrability is good. Only thing I wish it had is a small tool for doing stairs other than the power brush. Looked for one online but no luck.

Good quality.
Good quality product. It’s not flimsy and cheap. This vacuum cleaner will last a long time. Easy to use and lots of suction. This is not my first Kenmore. I was thrilled to find this on Amazon.

Just HAD to write this review
As soon as I seen that I could buy a kenmore online I just had to! This vacuum has the best suction I have seen in a long time! This will not disappoint the clean freak in me, user friend, LONG cord, and the hose is not cheap like some vacuum cleaners. Can't wait to get my freak on!

Top quality vacuum
Woth every penny. As soon as I turned it on, I was amazed at the suction. Then I realized it was set to the lowest suction setting. When set on High, this vacuum has tremendous suction. In terms of picking up cat hair, I have a Ragdoll cat and a Scottish Fold. Anyone who knows these breeds knows they shed like crazy. The vacuum preformed flawlessly. Finally, a clean home! If I could I'd give it 10 star rating.
