Hard to find - perfect replacement !!
When one of my track lights broke - I went to Home Depot to find a replacement - again being lured by the promise of instant gratification! After getting bad advice and making two wrong purchases I determined they did NOT carry a replacement for my system. And I learned that the Home Depot lighting "experts" don't know anything about track lighting basics !! Research time. The foundation of any track lighting system is the track itself. The track attaches to the ceiling or wall and its what the light fixtures affix to. And - not all track lights (fixtures) fit all track types. There are three standards and a bunch of proprietary systems. The three standards were developed by the early manufacturers of track lighting (Halo, Juno and Lightolier), (i.e. H type; J type; and L type). And they do not mix. There are places on the Internet where you can see pictures of the 3 different track mechanisms. Just search on "TRACK LIGHTING PRIMER". Also - the type is usually on the inside label for the fixture. Mine turned out to be Juno (J type)!! And - as most box stores want to sell complete systems - I couldn't find fixture replacements for my Juno system anywhere. So - off to my trusty Amazon site. And woila !! The perfect replacement. Color - fit - style - price - and free/fast shipping!! All perfect. Thanks again Amazon !!

Work as expected
I like the easy installation. By the way, the track was clearly labeled a Juno type. That gave us confidence to order this. Now we have order a second one and they are working fine.

Perfect as always!
This lamp holder is nearly identical to the one it replaced made around 30 years ago. Is this bad? Heck no! This is wonderful since I have a house full of them and would prefer not to have to change everything to suit a new model. This was a good lamp 30 years ago and it still is!
