Good Quality Deck Plate
Hi All. I would have given it 5 Stars, if this company would have included the needed Screws it needs. Just a Heads-Up. If your RV, has only 4 in Deck Plates, the "Rhino Flex Sewer Hose will "Not Fit" through 4 in Deck Plates. That's why I bought the 5 in Deck Plate. I also need to replace my 4 in round Sewer Hose Carrier too. I need to go to a round 6 in PVC Tube. But all in all, this Deck Plate seems to be very well made. And it is more than stiff enough to add to any RV Fresh Water Tanks. It should be common seance, if your adding a Deck Plate to any RV Fresh Water Tank, working with much Thinner Plastic of the RV's Fresh Water Tank, that some kind of backing would be needed. I did my first Deck Plate on a RV Fresh Water Tank, almost 15 years ago. Never once did I have any issues or leaks. Maybe I am just use to thinking out-side the so called Box. Safe & Happy Travels. Used for RV water tank Cleanout
I bought this to install in the top of my RV water tank to allow me access to clean out the tank. After installing it with butyl putty tape and stainless screws, I filled the tank with water and leak tested this deck plate - success! The reason I gave it 4 stars vs 5 is that the outer ring is not as stiff and I'd like to see and there was a little flexing when I screwed it down, but it works.

Not much to explain. I bought a few of these for a couple of identical sailboats I have. These are 16 footers and the kids race each other in them. The sailboats can go over easily, especially in moderate winds when the kids are pushing them hard. These have not leaked at all and keep the boats airtight and safe. I used a 3M marine sealant and stainless steel screws from the hardware store when I installed them. The installation was quick and easy and it looks like they came as standard equipment from the factory. The deck plates are high quality and are outstanding for the price. A simple item that just works.

There's really not too much to write about this deck plate. It requires a 5.5" cut hole for it to fit properly. It doesn't come with screws which might bother some, but honestly, I never use screws that come with products (they are always of cheaper quality). There appears to be a small hole on the bottom side of the lid (centered) that looks like you could install a small chain and secure it to this hole with a screw (maybe #6). Then you could secure the other side of the chain to the inside area under the deck plate so you can't lose the lid after installation. The only gripe I have with this is finger recess isn't deep enough toward the middle so when you are holding it with 2 fingers, you don't really have enough of a lip to hold on to it securely.

Money Saver
Great product. Used to make an access port on my water tanks for the toy hauler. New tanks were $1000.00+. All I needed was new fittings, but the local dealer wanted to sell me the new tanks instead. With these, I easily fixed the water tanks for less than $75.00. I used a plastic cutting board and sealant to re-enforce getting a solid seal.
