Sicuro in lavastoviglie.

Lavabile in lavastoviglie. Resistente al calore e ai danni del vapore. Non graffia le pentole antiaderenti. Fatto di bambù. Spatola per mancini.

Good enough, but not as high quality as in the past
This tool is a nice shape for stir-frying. I've had two others I bought ~20 years ago that I've loved using. These new tools have a rougher surface, as if they're not oiled enough. They're also quite a bit lighter than the older ones. But basically because of the shape, are good enough for my purposes.

If you have a Joyce Chen spatula you will be disappointed in the fit and finish this version
I purchased a Joyce Chen spatula several years ago and use it almost every day. It has an embossed logo, finely formed edges, and nicely burnished finish but it is showing some wear. The one I just purchased, is crudely formed, has rough edges, lacks a true finish. The fit and finish of the actually product received does not resemble the website’s picture. Im sending the new one back. My old used one is in better shape.

Pretty good
While this is nice for lefties, it isn't perfect. There are good features I really like but it's annoying that it can get easily turned around. Because it's relatively flat, i.e. the spoon part doesn't have much of a well, I don't know that the left-handed slant offers much benefit. I have a couple of similar spatulas that are flat across the end of the spoon and one left-handed one with a gentle slant that I like better than this one. Because the slant on this spoon is pronounced, it can be awkward to use when it gets turned around. It might as well be a right-handed version. On the other hand, I really like the bamboo material which is smooth unlike my other wooden implements, and it goes through the dishwasher fine although I avoid putting it in there as much as possible so it maintains the smooth finish. The wedge shape does help getting into the corners of a pot and I like that the handle is not too bulky so it doesn't take up all the room in my countertop utensil holder. I will certainly use this cooking spoon, but do wish the slanted end was less defined.

One of my favorites
Many kinds of kitchen utensils can be used ambidextrously. This spoon / spatula design is not one of them. The spoon edge is curved on the side meant to face the bottom of the pot or pan and pointed on the edge meant to face up. Try using a standard right-handed model with your left hand and either it gets held upside down or it gets held with the spoon bowl facing away from you, backwards. Not so with this one. This allows us lefties to use this utensil design comfortably and as it was meant to be used. Decent length, burnished to help seal pores without chemicals or some other coating, strong. Cleans easily. No splinters. Cheap enough that if you damage, destroy, or lose it, it doesn't hurt your wallet to get a replacement. The spoon bowl is relatively shallow but that's fine for how it's meant to be used. I have maybe 16 utensils in a couple of holders by my stove, but this is one of my top 4 that get used the most.

Well made and excellent for use on cold, warm or hot meals!
I have always leaned towards grabbing my mother's old, large, wooden spoon! My mother's spoon is nearing the century mark as her mother used it often before handing it down. So what is so special about a wooden spoon? Ever have a melamine/plastic spatula snap in half as you tried to mix that delicious batch of potato salad? Wooden spoons tend to not only provide you leverage but rarely break unless you are trying to break one! They hold up well against weight, mixing almost anything (always buy your wooden spoon/spatula/mixing spoon with a long handle that is thick like these offered by Joyce Chen. They are well made and you have extreme confidence when you are mixing anything that is heavy and that you are trying not crush or mash! Though these wooden utensils would mash anything fairly well! My preference has been to do a quick wash in the sink and not place them in the dishwasher- to prevent the wood from drying out.

These are da bomb!! Great design/shape!
I had never used bamboo spatulas before, but I saw great reviews about them. Of course I support the environment and renewable resources like bamboo, so that's a plus. They still haven't broken down in two years. My regular old wooden spoons used to fray and get fuzzy, but not these so far! They last much longer. They can even take a lot of heat (don't ask.) I can scrape vigorously to get the bits up off the bottom of my regular pans and yet not scratch my nonstick pans. They're great for scraping the bottom of a vat of chili--ooh and they don't stain! They clean up nicely/smoothly. I don't feel there are teeny bits of food still in there. I wind up using the angled edge for a lot of things. Sometimes I need a pointier edge to move things around more specifically and sometimes a round one for getting things out of the corner of a round pan. The flat side is great for getting food or sauces off the side of a straight sided pan. It cuts well too right in the pan--even green peppers or meat. I use the 15" the most. I like the 18" for more splattery cooking/frying. I use the 13" the least.

Work great with with either hand...I think
Wife hates them; she's right-handed. I tell her to flip them around. I have used them with both hands and they're great. The surface is a little rough and you might want to buff them up with some 400 sandpaper just for that smooth hand feel but hey - it's a spoon - so really how specific do you need to be....

Good
Not bad, I find the handle slightly too large/thick to fit super comfortably in my hands but otherwise works as expected and the slanted spoon was exactly what I wanted. However, I also do think you can find similar bamboo spoons for cheaper elsewhere.
