Works great
I love this thing, only complaint is it kinda looks dirty all the time, I think it’s the black matte material the base is made out of, so I have to scrub it a lot, but it’s sturdy, holds big items up, yet takes up little room

Two flaws from 5 star
I use this next to the sink as a drainage for sprouting containers. The concept is great, but Joseph Joseph did two things wrong. First, as other reviewers have said, water can get through where the pop-up dinner plate prongs enter the tray. Second, the drain port that extends out of the unit to the sink is not inclined downward at all. So naturally outgoing water can turn around and follow the bottom of the drain port back onto the counter. Until Joseph Joseph fixes this version, here's what I did to resolve it: I ran a bead of plumber's caulk under the bottom of the drainage port so water doesn't run back under the unit. You could also do something similar with waterproof tape. Then there's just putting a towel under it if you don't want to bother. It is still a good little draining board for small spaces and price.

Perfect size!
with only a single sink in our kitchen, we were looking for something small to drain our hand-washed dishes on. We tried cloth mats, plastic dryers, and the grate that expands over the sink. All took up too much room in our small space. This simply-designed tray works great! Counters stay dry, doesn't take up too much space and easy to store.

Doesn't drain as intended
Good idea, but not enough slope in either direction for water to actually drain. It just pools and you have to lift it up to drain it after dishes are removed. The thing I like about it is that the ridges are high enough to provide pretty good air circulation so that dishes can dry well.

Really wanted to love
Generally love the quality of this brand but found this piece lacking. The spaces between the dish separators are very narrow and don't accommodate dishes that have even a little bit of a lip, eg Hasami. The size of the unit is a too small to accommodate dishes AND glasses, I ended up stacking items next to it. There's also nowhere to put cutlery -- I just laid it flat on the grooves but it would fall into the grooves because they are so widely spaced. Not really sure the intended use case for this design - it looks great but just doesn't work. It was also very hard to clean it completely by hand because of the nooks and crannies.. Soap film would build up no matter how frequently I cleaned it. Running the unit through the dishwasher warped it rendering it unusable.

Decent value when on sale.
Bought this as an Amazon warehouse deal. It's fine. Good quality but it took a week before it started to sit flat on the counter... The plastic was slightly warped but I guess the weight of cups and plates helped to settle it down. Works well for the limited counter space we have.

The water does not drain off it
This is a nice looking product and usually, Joseph Joseph products are well-designed. But the water just does not drain off it. So have to buy another one

Does the job.
Seems well built, the little tabs supported a cutting board and a pot lid just fine. It's a bit small but great if you either have several small items or one or two large ones. I wanted something minimalist and easy to put away if I wanted more counter space.

Broken in 11 months
Am not happy.. this has broken in only 11 months with little use as I mainly use a dishwasher. Not what I expect from Joseph Joseph
