Great little trike that grows with your child with just a few concerns!

I was so excited to receive this in the mail! I opened it instantly and although I had anticipated assembling it (and I've assembled more children's toys than I'd like to admit) this particular trike was a little annoying to assemble. You receive written directions and a separate sheet of picture directions that coinside together. Overall the assembly was easy enough but the instructions were slightly confusing to follow and certain pieces were a pain to click together. After the trike was completely assembled I took pictures from every angle for reference, hope this will be helpful to someone! Upon initial inspection of the trike, I was a little surprised to see the contrast in color between the trike padding and the plastic of the trike - although different, it still looks good together. The canopy material also surprised me. I was anticipating a usually stroller type sun shade but this canopy is definitely more of an extremely stretchy swimsuit material. The coverage on it however is amazing!! The seat padding and backrest seem comfortable and there is a 3 point harness although I would have loved to have seen a 5 point harness (I had previously read reviews of littles falling out of the seat through the leg hole because of the 3 point harness which I was concerned about). I do love the telescopic parent control handle and the fact that you can adjust it to exactly the right height for whomever is in control of the trike however it did feel slightly flimsy and after taking it out for the first time, the alignment already seemed off from my son trying to drive the bike one direction and me turning it another (aka too much stress from us pulling different directions). The tires seem pretty impressive and are great size but as seen in one of the above photos it did arrive with a small chunk missing from it. I love that this trike has the four stages to grow with your child and is great for individualizing to your little love and their needs. One thing that I have been watching out for (again, because I had previously read reviews of it happening) is when you have the foot rest out for your child and the foot pedals appropriately adjusted, is if your kid isn't quite sure how to use the foot rest or rests their feet too closely forward they can come in contact with the foot pedal and do have the possibility of getting caught (luckily we haven't personally experienced this but I did see exactly how this could happen). The trike also has a handy cup holder in front and a generous storage basket for your little love to carrying around water bottles, toys etc which is wonderful. Overall I am pleased with this trike but I did decide to give it a 4 star review because of the above mentioned concerns and because I felt like this trike was a little spendy compared to most. The trike is very fun and seems to be a good quality but so far we have only taken it out one time so I will update once we have the chance to use it more! I hope the above photos & review are helpful to another momma looking at the Joovy Tricycoo. (Joovy is an amazing brand though! Definitely impressed with most all of their products that we own ???? ).

Great stage trike, but needs just a little more work.

This is a wonderful multi-stage trike for kids. We love this, however, there are a few "minor" issues I've had. For one, the rear parent handle had had issues with the bolts staying tight as it takes a lot of the vibration. This is mainly due to a single pop pin connection behind the seat that leaves a lot of wiggle room. That room also makes pushing the trike harder as you are constantly having to correct front wheel wobble (aka having to fight a consistent swerve). I will say though, this was made to take a child beating from use. The extra fold-out foot steps are great to have if your child's feet can't fully reach the pedals and the front wheel pedal disconnect is really nice when you're pushing as your child can't mess with the movement. The handle cup is nice, but doesn't securely fasten as you see in the diagram; it actually only fits on the outside of the handles and can be pulled off by the child anytime.

Feels cheap...

So we got this for my son's first birthday and we love that he is strapped in nicely and it was pretty simple to put together with the instructions. My son loves riding in it, so that is a plus. But I don't like the fact that it doesn't really fit in the trunk unless you have a larger vehicle... Also the plastic on it feels extremely cheat and I feel like it's not going to last us very long. The cup holder just pops on and off and my son just pulls it off and throws it so we can't even use it. It also squeaks a bunch when using it which can be kind of annoying. I feel like it is priced a big high for what you actually get ????

Adorable trike to grow with your little one

I picked this tricycle for several reasons 1) appearance- it looks the most like a tricycle when all the baby things are taken off 2) it has great accessories (almost full coverage sun shade, extra large cup holder, storage basket) 3) safety has an adjustable seat, pedal lock and harness 4) you can add streamers to the handle bars for added fun My only issue is there’s no parent cup holder but I was able to add one. It doesn’t fold to store because this thing really is a tricycle first and a stroller second.

Great product. Great customer service.

This is great! Our 10 month old loves it and its easy to setup and use. It took me 10 minutes and a Phillips head to assemble it. The instructions are a bit laughable but they come in text AND a separate pictogram lol (FR it's easy to put together). It seems sturdy enough that we'll be able to convert it as she grows. The cupholder does fall off but i ziptied it for now until i figure out a baby proof permanent solution. I'll probably just wrap it with some pink ribbon lol. The storage cubby on the back fell off because it and the cupholder sub parly "clip" in place, so i put a screw threw it into the frame. It's not going anywhere now. I would normally give this a 4 star because I had to put ANY "after market" work into it but i didn't have to do much. It is nice, the 100 dollar bill is very reasonable and your neighbor's kid doesn't have one lol. The reason this trike and this company gets 5 STARS is because the trike was lost in shipment so they refunded my money, IMMEDIATELY(SAME DAY). The trike arrived 2 days later and they told me to keep it for the inconvenience. We love the trike and the company. Definitely going to order products in the future.

Not safe. Do not buy.

We bought this product after reviewing an article about the best tricycles for babies/toddlers. We took it out twice with our 13 month old daughter and in both instances, her foot got stuck in between the front tire and the metal piece around the tire. There is no adequate foot guard. We tried to adjust the seat to move her further away from the tire, but you cannot use the baby support system (which includes the harness) in any position except the middle position. Beware- you can’t use either the sun canopy or the baby support system in any seat position except the middle position. The lack of foot guard is a serious flaw and I wish I had read other people’s reviews on this issue prior to purchasing. Thankfully, we are still within the return window and Amazon has great policies on returns. I would never, ever recommend this product. I hardly ever return items nor write negative reviews, but this is a dangerous item that should not be purchased (or sold, for that matter).

Defective!! Poor quality

It was bought as a gift and by the time it was assembled together it was too late to return as we ordered it ahead of time. Assembly is straight forward, one of the few good things about the product. After that it is straight downhill. Here are the list of issues: 1. Handle is too short to guide child if you're +6ft tall 2. Paddle locks don't work. This was one of the best features I liked when going through the options. You would need to use this is you, the parent, are steering the baby otherwise their foot will hit the paddles as the bike moves 3. It makes an annoying noise whenever it moves. Seems to be coming from the wheel. Tried using lubricant to make the noise go away and it would help but just for a few rides then it's back again. Something is grinding in there 4. The steering handle for parents is very flimsy. The securing pin kept getting loose Overall, I spent more time fixing the thing than using it. I understand how sometimes there can be defective product made but they need to take it back and give me a good one to really see if they can make a quality product

Metal is a little flimsy

It’s a good product, a good idea with lots of bells and whistles. But the metal bar that’s used to push the Trike when the baby doesn’t want to pedal is a little flimsy. It’s not terrible but the quality is what you might expect from Walmart.. for the price, I expected better quality. A little disappointed.

Dangerous product harmful to your child

WARNING! This product is NOT safe it looks nice but looks are deceiving! My 22 month old today suffered face injuries today after the Tricycoo fell over while she was sitting and not moving on a completely flat surface.This item is faulty and flimsy the materials are cheap the product is falling apart it’s defective and shouldn’t be sold anymore. Please do not buy this product it can seriously harm your child!

What a piece of junk!

Very poorly made. Squeaks and screws popping out after a few strolls around gated community. Dangerously tips over with 12 month old baby inside. Very hard to maneuver around corners. Waste of money. The return is even worse. Make you do all the work.
