A Very High Quality Pump

Bought this for my sailboat, after another belt and pulley pump died. Tired of those exposed models. This one is all enclosed, and very compact. It easily fit under the floorboards. I am using it to pump out the shower drain pan. It has plenty of power and it is pretty quiet. A few features worth mentioning : The inlet and outlet ports push into place and then lock with a slide of the thumb. This is nice because you can install the pump and then make up the ends of the hose with the fittings where you can see them and tighten them, then push them into place (where it might be hard to get a screwdriver and flashlight) The inlet and outlet ports can be changed out for right angles. You have to specify these when ordering, or order them separately. They are not expensive. Good to have on hand for the future too. I ordered mine with 3/4 inch ports, but they also come in 1/2 inch. The 3/4 is better for bilge type pumping. The mounting plate removes from the pump with two screws. So you can take it off, position it, drill your holes and make sure it will all work, then put the plate back on the pump and drop it into place. The only thing that would be better would be if the pump would somehow snap in to the plate, so you could fasten the plate first and then just click it in from above. There are rubber isolators for the feet of the plate. They minimize structure-borne vibrations and thus sound. Included is a nice strainer, which can be mounted with screws or is light enough to just float in the air attached to the hoses. I am switching out all the pumps in my boat, using Jabsco and Flojet, which I believe are the same pump made by the same parent company. High quality stuff. Recommended.

Piece of crap

The pump that I received did not work A waste of time and labor will never buy from them again now haven’t received refund on my credit card!!!!!!!

Make sure it is NEW!

Product was exactly as I ordered. I understand that returned items get re-sold, but this pump still had water in it and the original box packaging was torn up. Not a big deal, the pump works but it should have been sold as an open box, not as a new item. Not even sure if parts were missing, it had everything I needed.

Pumps well, but is about an inch taller than the model it replaced.

The added inch of pump length made installation a much bigger job, due to space limitations on my boat.

I installed this pump and filter for my shower pump out on my boat earlier this year. There are no problems so far. It works great. If you install this as a bilge pump just realize that it is a little noisy because of the type pump. You will hear it when it comes on. If that feature bothers you then go with a different type pump. I like the small filter. It's easy to clean.

Pump stopped working after 3 months

The pump stopped working after 3 months of use. I would assume that this was a defective unit as this is not a cheap pump and is a reliable manufacturer.

Shower drain

Works well so far as a drain pump for shower on our boat. Can run dry and hooked up to a rocker switch to turn on and off. Mounted below deck and reasonably quiet.

Good bilge pump

This pump works well as a bilge pump. Connected with an automatic float switch. Screen filter helps prevent some pollution as well as protecting pump
