Works great
This solves the problem I was having with trying to use a motion sensor in my kids bathroom. They hated that the fan would turn on right when they walked in the room (it’s loud), so they would just switch it back off. This humidity sensor turns on after running the shower for 5 minutes. The water is already running so the extra fan noise isn’t jarring. I didn’t even need to adjust the sensitivity but I’m glad that’s a feature.

Inconsistent performance
Update: Now that it's springtime, the switch does activate, but the level 1 sensitivity setting becomes too sensitive. I have to adjust it to level 2, which means having to change the setting on a seasonal basis ????????‍???????? Original post: Just like many complained about the old model IPHS5-1LW, this new one still doesn't always turn on automatically. We installed it next to a touchless light switch (not an occupancy sensor, wired independently) hoping we wouldn't have to touch any buttons in the bathroom, but it only turned on about half of the time, especially on cold days. Now we just use it like an expensive timer. However, if your HVAC system can provide stable temperature and humidity control for your home and the outside weather isn't extreme, this might work well for you.

Easy to install and to use.
When it comes to the bathroom fan in the main bathroom of our house, it tends to either be not run long enough to evacuate enough moisture that may have collected in the duct during the dead of winter or it is left running for too long. It was to solve these problems that I wanted to get this switch from Leviton that could turn on when there was too much moisture in the room and once manually triggered, run for a set time and no longer. I have wired lots of smart and dumb switches and so this one was pretty straightforward. The switch does extend a bit into the electrical box so if it is already full of wires, you may run into trouble. The programming isnt intuitive or as easy as my smart switches with apps simply because you are getting feedback from the light on the switch. The fan can be set to run whenever the humidity sensitivity is reached (low, medium, high or max or you can set the percent humidity), manually turn on but will run for a set time or bypass which means it wont run automatically. You can also set the fan to run on a regular schedule in the air cycle mode. You will want to download the instructions to have them because without the instructions to decipher the blinks and colors of the led light on the face of the switch, you will never be able to change the settings. Overall, I am pleased with the switch. An app would be a bonus, but on the other hand, I do like the simplicity of it.

Not sensitive enough
I have a small bathroom, but the shower is partly enclosed in glass so the rest of the bathroom doesn't get humid enough to trigger it unless I leave the glass door open for a minute. I even set the humidistat to the highest sensitivity setting. Pretty disappointing! The other Leviton model sold has more custom settings, but requires a common wire which I don't have.

Neat device with adjustable settings, great solution when NO NEUTRAL available
The media could not be loaded. Heads up that I received this through the Amazon Vine program. For some reason my bathroom lights have a neutral, but the fan doesnt. This either means i use an electronic timer and it spins the fan every second (cant be good for the fan), I use a mechanical timer (tick tick tick tick tick), I use a single pole switch (kids leave the fan on)......or THIS!!!! This neatly solves all of the problems I have with my kids, they forget to turn the fan on, or they leave it on forever. The unit has four (4) wires. Two black, one white (with green sleeve) and a green ground wire. The wiring diagram allows for the white and the green to both be connected to the ground, with the two black wires being the line/load, and it doesnt seem to matter which way round the line/load is connected. The unit allows you to select: - Time period (10,20,30,45 mins) - Sensitivity to Humidity (35%, 50%, 65%, 80%) - Device operating mode (Bath fan, Air cycle, Humidistat) there are some difference in what the settings mean depending on which mode you have selected. For me i wanted bath fan mode, and it works as you would imagine (press on/off, humidity trigger on/off). In the other modes the time represents how long each hour the unit will run for whether being triggered by time (air cycle mode) or by humidity (humidistat mode). I added a video to show what it looks like to enter the programming mode, at first i was quite confused between the individual setting and the option. I think the choice of words is quite confusing, luckily the operation is easy once you know what to do. Press and hold the top and bottom for 5 seconds and the green light comes on, then when it goes off it will begin flashing information at you....COLOUR = the "setting", NUMBER OF FLASHES = the "option". you cycle through settings by pressing the top of hte button and through options by pressing the bottom. When you have everything the way you want it, you must press and hold both top and bottom again to save the settings. This solves a big problem for me as a dad and I think it is great. No more worrying about the steam in the bathroom or that the fan is left on forever....and all without a neutral wire. One last thing.....there are no wire nuts in the package, so you'll need three or four depending on the neutral wire.

Seemed like a good idea at the time.
I got this to install in the main shared bathroom in the house that the kid use. They tend to forget to turn the fan on, or when they do use it, they tend to leave it running indefinitely. I tried to use this to address some of those issues. It seemed like a good idea, but I think in principal, it's not really what I needed since it just doesn't seem sensitive enough to stay on long enough. Also, in retrospect, I would like the fan to come on early so as not to let the humidity to get up high. I think I will end up replacing it with a simple motion sensor switch with a long timeout instead.

So practical!
When you have kids, they never remember to turn the fan on. Thank goodness for the sensor that automatically turns it on and I'm glad I don't have to remember to go back to turn it off after as it has a timer.
