Did the job.

This was a pretty simple replacement and repair so long as you check online as to how to do it. Doe not come with its own instructions. Take your time to avoid mistakes or causing more damage to the electrical or gas lines, which could be very bad. The part appeared to be a genuine GE part and was delivered quickly. Other reviewers also discussed the proper way to install. Most importantly, leave the original wiring harness on the unit until you get the new part and install each switch and wire routing as you remove the old one.

Worked Perfectly

This new replacement harness is slightly different than the original, but works great. It was very easy to install, once you figure out how to remove the cooktop cover. I was able to work on the unit in place without complete removal. After the burner grates are removed, each of the four burners has two screws that are removed. The burners are then pulled out and the igniter wires disconnected. Then the top lifts up and out, the existing harness removed and the new one installed. Make sure each of the four valve switches on the harness are installed at a 45 degree angle to the right of the 12 o'clock position. I definitely recommend this product.

good replacement for GE gas cooktop

Worked great for my GE gas cooktop. one day the burners all started trying to ignite spontaneously, after some trouble shooting, this appeared to be the issue. Easy to install, the hardest part is dismantling the cook top.

Problem Solved!

Our gas stove had been clicking with out us turning the burners on. We had to unplug the stove after turning burners on! What a headache! Product came earlier than expected and was easy to install!!

Quick and Easy Fix to Faulty Wiring Harness

Great replacement for original equipment that had developed a short preventing one of the igniters from working. Make sure that when you install it that you do so at an angle as pictured in the instructions. Simply installing the product without angling the connectors to the metal control know at an approximate 20 degree angle will result in none of your igniters on the stove working. Replacing the part was easier than expected on my GE cooktop.

Received it promptly in packaging. Looks new and similar to the one I already have in my GE profile range. I decided to replace this after my GE profile range would continually click after a cleaning. Perhaps some water had gone into one of the switches and shorted it. Replaced this part and it's working well.

Worse than before

Stove top works worse than before. Burners don't spark at the "ignite" part of the dial, they spark at random points of the turn. For example, one ignites when you get to 9 on the dial, another ignites when you get to 5. It is awful. I just don't feel like taking it back apart again to return the item. Look elsewhere for a replacement part.
