For this price point, this is a great curling iron
I have only had this for a week but I can say it is meeting my needs just fine thus far. If it dies on me prematurely (at this price I'd say it should last about 6 months-1 year). I will edit my review. I needed a smaller gauge iron since my hair is shorter these days (should length, fine AF, color treated, heat styled, and a ton of it!). The spring on it is a bit weak for a person with thick hair BUT, you really shouldn't be putting too much in at once anyway, if you want a good result. I would say the main drawback is that the spring is weak and that is why I took away one star. But like I said, just put less hair in the iron at once and you can overcome the "weak spring" issue. Otherwise it is great!

Love the heat settings
I really enjoy having the heat settings instead of just one with no way to adjust it. I have short very straight hair, so it can be difficult to curl. I need the higher heat. What I don't like is the tip where I'm used to holding the curling iron steady is very small and I always burn my fingers. Also, the clamp should be tighter since my hair just slips through and falls out too easily. I wish that could be adjusted. Overall, a very nice curling iron with the higher heat settings I need. Heats fast and has an indicator when it's ready. Soft full curls.

Cord is too SHORT.
The cord is seriously shorter then it should be. thank goodness I can still use it, because of the location of my outlet. It's pretty cheap that the cord isn't 6', but only 5'. For a few pennies they could have added 12". The cord is also a smaller gauge than I think is appropriate; a bit flimsy. Functionality: it heats up well, and fast, and the 3/4” barrel holds s good curl. I’m used to using hair spray while my hair is in the iron. I still needed to do that, and it functioned as expected. The barrel seemed to have even heat. I have very thick, coarse hair, and the clamp held it well. The swivel on the end is very adequate so the cord shouldn’t twist up. If it weren’t for the short, low quality cord, I would have given it 5 stars. I think I’m a bit generous by giving it 4 stars, because I don’t like to stand so close to the wall when I have my elbows in the air trying to maneuver various angles with my hair.

Just right - highly recommend
Barrel gauge is perfect for beach waves for long hair. It gets hot enough but not too hot. The power button is not in the way, it is recessed so I haven’t had a problem with bumping it off. My hair glides through easily but does not slip out- the clamp is tight enough to hole sparse ends. There are no parts in the curling iron where my hair gets caught or snagged, which is usually the case on any styling wand. This was exactly what I hoped it would be and the price was also worth bragging about.

It works well, but…
I have very thick hair and very coarse hair. It would take me over an hour to curl my hair! And I am not willing to invest that type of time. Sectioning off small areas at a time, it’s not my thing.

Good purchase
I purchased this curling iron, and I like it. It does the job. My only problem is that it takes way to long for the "ready to use" green light to come on. However, I do recommend this product.

Heats quickly and auto shuts off
The best curling iron I’ve ever bought. Heard up quickly and if you’re in a rush the turbo button makes it hot even faster. I also use it to flatten my wigs instead of a hot comb works perfectly.

Heats up Quickly
1 inch Curling iron is great for having different temp controls, but not the easiest to handle. Lacks the amount of space at tip for holding. I have very fine hair so I need enough hair on the barrel for it to hold, otherwise hair slides off. I had a Conair with "teeth" before this one for 15 yrs, it has since gone to its resting place but it did the job. I feel this would be great for thicker and mid to longer hair lengths. Also the iron doesn't seem to be any shorter than a regular curling iron, in my opinion.

Great for price, but power button placement is not so great
I saw this on a TikTok where a girl created large loose waves, which is a style I’ve been wanted to try out for a long time that straighteners and most curling rods haven’t been giving me. I figured it’s pretty cheap so why not try it out, and I’m so glad I did! The end results are always great and it does wonderful for the cheap price point. The only problems I have are that it usually leaves a crease when I use the clamp, and the MOST annoying thing ever is that the power button is right on the handle where you hold the curling iron the whole time so every time I use it I’m always turning it on and off accidentally!

Worth every penny!
For $30, this curler is absolutely incredible. As you can tell from the image, I got myself some really soft, loose waves that lasted throughout the whole day. I previously owned a conair curler, so the location of the on and off buttons and the turbo option doesn’t affect my usage of the curler. I’ve gotten used to it from my previous curler! It’s very light compared to my old Conair one. The only downside to this curler is that the clip doesn’t grip the hair that well closer to the bottom of the barrel. Again, for $30, a total dream of a curling wand!

BURNED MY HAIR OFF
The very first time I used this product it IMMEDIATELY burned my hair off. The heat was at a low to moderate setting (7/30) and I did NOT hold it for too long. I clamped my hair into it and it instantly burned off. I think this goes without saying, don’t buy this product.

Absolutely love this curling iron. I use it as a curling wand, and have been using it for several months. Always get picture perfect curls!
