Nice wok. You don;t need ring as this wok is flat on the bottom. Good finish and easy to use. I primarily use as support for my bamboo steamer for which it works well.

Perfect addition to any healthy kitchen
Pros: This cast iron wok has made cooking healthier, streamlined and cleaning is simply a dream. Con: Storage could be a challenge if you do not have hanging capabilities

Good wow but the handle can be more secure
I really like its light weight and it is easy to use and clean. I wish the wood handle is more securely fastened and wouldn’t twist around while I am trying to toss the food.

Great wok
This came a little bigger than I expected, but it is very well made, like the fact that it has a long handle as well as the side handle. Used it and it cooked my stir fry veggies nice and crisp and was very easy to clean.

heavy wok
The non stick finish is not non stick and after a year of mild use it started to come off. I through this wok away and bought a traditional carbon steel wok that will last a lifetime.

I can't get over light this wok is. I use metal cookwear and it seems hadle fine. I cook on it every night. Very easy clean up.

It is bigger and heavier than I thought
With my glass top range I was limited in what kind of wok I can use and after researching many styles and brands decided that I'd give this Imusa wok a try. It is good value, seems to be decent quality, have been able to cook a few tasty stir frys in it but it's sort of a daunting task because this wok is huge. It's not too heavy for it's size, especially compared to the Lodge style cast iron wok, but it makes cleanup in a normal sized double kitchen sink a little awkward especially the outside since the enamel/paint surface is somewhat porous. Glass top ranges are really the limiting factor because there is only so much heat you can get into the wok and with the flat bottom style all the heat is in the flat part and the sides stay cool making it a little but of a challenge to keep the seasoning working (since it's too cool up higher on the walls and food sticks and oils become sticky rather than carbonized). Still does better than a normal cast iron skillet with those minor drawbacks, since you can still control the heat ok. The helper handle has come in more useful than I thought. Also both wooden handles are removable so this could potentially be seasoned in the oven (though I'm not sure how the outer finish would do with that). If I had to buy this again I'd go with a 13" or smaller one rather than the 14", and for those with gas ranges I'd definitely recommend a traditional steel wok.

Coating flaked off
The wok is solid, well made and has great heat distribution. I stir fry a lot and had no problems with food sticking to the wok. The only complaint is that after about 15 uses, the bottom of the wok started to flake off. Not sure if it's safe to continue using.
