It's smaller than I expected.

I bought this to make hummus. My last morter spilled ingredients all over the counter. Fom the image, I thought this was larger. It wasn't. I didn't inspect it carefully. Please do what I didn't.

Looks very cheap.

This was a quick purchase that I regret now. The wood had chipped and the surfaces are not smooth. It has a very cheap built.

Good mortar/pestle but appears smaller than advertised

Sturdy, well-crafted, but smaller than reported. Otherwise fine product

Does the job and right size.

It really does the job. Right size for small family. Doesn’t take up much space. I thought it would smell due to the fact that it’s wood. Surprisingly, it doesn’t. Over all a good buy. I won’t give this as a gift unless the recipient is collecting mortar and pestle. On the other hand, I would like it if I received it as a gift.

Waste of money

Poor design and quality. Design: bottom of the bowl is round, but the end of the pestle is flat. Not optimal for crushing ingredients. Quality: Didn't expect the wood to be perfect but there were large knots and areas that looked filled in with, well, filler. Finish was a bit rough for a food-grade item. Went into the garbage after first use.
