NOT a good product
Do NOT spend your money on this item !!! I did an extensive search for a reliable non-electronic thermometer. I still have NOT found one.. I purchased this product after reviewing the specs on their website. When I received it, the what they laughingly call the "shipping department had put it in a box that was slightly larger than the one that display box, with a few of those rectangular air filled "packing pillows, which were COMPLETELY IMPRACTICAL for the task. They SHOULD of used either peanuts, or bubble wrap. The reason WHY I mention this is because the thermometer does NOT work! It registers @ approx. 78 degrees, and has barely moved for the past several months (With the exception of the time when I put it outside on a cold winter night, and it DID register in the the 30s-40s). The Hydometer DOES work, but I do NOT have a standard to gauge it against, So I am unsure of it's accuracy. I called Cooper-Atkins shortly after I purchased this device, and they sent me a replacement ...which the thermometer does NOT work either (both placed on an inside wall, away from a heat source). I suspect that either poor quality control or damage during shipping (or both) could be the cause. BTW, the other two devices that I purchased from them (a oven thermometer, and a refrigerator thermometer are both working (as far as I can tell). So, one should NOT judge ALL of their products on this single review of this one device..

Good so far
I purchased two thermometers at the same time, one to place on the outer surface of a window for outside temperatures, and this thermometer, for indoor use. I initially compared the two, and they were within 1°F of each other (at room temperature). I also compared to a lab glass thermometer, with similar results. So far, this seems to be reliable. Temperature moves, and seems to reflect ambient temperature. I have little experience with measuring humidity, but the hygrometer has also been shifting as I would expect (increased humidity when using a humidifier). I can't say I've compared the humidity measurement to anything else, nor have I tested the temperature in outdoor situations, but for my purposes (an indoor indicator), this has been very satisfactory so far. As we head into summer, there will undoubtedly be more temperature and humidity fluctuations, and I will update this IF it becomes obvious that it is inaccurate.

Decent
Pretty accurate, but kind of slow to change to a new temperature. For example, if it was 80 degrees in the afternoon, but the sun went down and the temperature is 60 now, it might still have a reading of 70. It seems to be very sensitive to humidity and the temperature reading seems to measure what it actually feels like with humidity, rather than the what the actual temperature is.

Didn't seem to work at first, within two days displays very accurate temperature
Hung this on my front porch. It took a few hours until it looked like it was even working. Within 24 hours, it had the temperature within 5 degrees. After two days, it seems to be even more accurate. It is matching the weatherbug app temperature on my iPhone. I am very please with this Thermometer. It's temperature reading is very accurate. My fiance' complained that it looks like something you would see in a hospital, and asked why it couldn't "look nicer", but I told her, "It's all about the accuracy Honey!" ;)

It's Okay
The only plus with this thermometer is the large numerals (easy to read from a distance). Other than that it was on the expensive side of the other thermo's listed. As for accuracy, if you go to the companies website, is states a plus or minus 3 degrees between 30 to 90 and plus or minus 5 degrees all other temps.

Recommended but it does not ship with any mounting hardware.
I would have given it five stars, but it does not come with a mounting bracket to hang on the exterior of a window. I had to improvise my own design and brackets.

Lasted only 3 years, temperature now pegged at 100 degrees. Its Dead.
I like the design, but only lasted 3 years - I bought in May, 2015 and it died in July, 2018. I would expect more out of 25 dollar unit. There are cheaper ones out there that woild probably last just as long...

as described
10 degree increments YAY kind of small typeface but ok very hard to find ten degree increments any where at any price part of the non western world conspiracy of domination
