Cheaper version than what is shown.
I have had several Carlton diaphragm calls. I ordered these because they are the yellow Carlton calls which have an aluminum frame. When they arrived, they were the brown calls which have a plastic frame. I received them 3 days before my elk hunt and didn't have time to return them. The first morning I used them the frame snapped in half on one of the calls. I do not recommend plastic frame calls.

First choice for elk calls
I've purchased diaphragm calls from several companies this year and in the past. I prefer Carlton calls to all others. With the single reed you can bugle and cow call, and tone down the notes to pretty soft when needed. Cow calls are pure with the single. My favorite for bugling is the double reed as for me, it's the most versatile and I can make the widest range of elk sounds. For me, both calling soft and loud are options I use and I can call softer and louder than the other manufacturers calls. I also find it easier blowing as well. This of course is a personal opinion and may not be the same for others, but I'll only buy Carlton calls in the future. I've been hunting elk over 20 years.

Great set of calls if you dont know what works best and want to try a bunch of different calls
these are ok quality calls, for the price the 4 pack is a good deal. though after knowing what call works best for me and where i hunt i will be buying single calls.

Calls showed up with one broken one and one with the latex having a chuck taken out of it. Can't use those two.

Soft reeds
only one of the four actually was tight enough to get the right sound in the calling sequence It was the 2.5 reed the rest were flat on the highest/final tone. Had bought before and 3 of the 4 worked so was ok with that but this time not so much
