Bought this fan but not really impressed

The fan works great but did not come with a separate remote. I was under the impression the fan with have a separate remote as I have seen other fans have from this brand but this did not have one.

Looks nice, too expensive

This fan looks pretty nice, pushes lots of air, and has wifi. The remote is the in-wall version which I didn't want and don't like. It's also almost the exact same components as the Hunter Aerodyne with an extra blade or two and 8 more inches, yet costs 2.5x as much. You're definitely not getting 2.5x the quality.

It'd be better if it were dumb.

Smart features make this very inconvenient. We chose this fan based on the air volume it can move, and the light output. Those qualities are great. What is NOT great is the Smart nonsense. We were replacing a 30 year old fan, that had 3 switches total for it: 2 switches controlled the light, one switch controlled the fan motor. With this fan, we get one switch (wall mounted battery powered remote) to control everything. So, in order to turn the light off at night, you have to go down the stairs and turn the light off before going to bed. This wouldn't be that big of a deal if I could use the app on my phone. But I can't. Unless I provide my wi-fi router info, my OS info, my phone make/model, my great aunt's dog's maiden name, the names of my 12x great grandparents, etc, the company can't help me get their app to work. I asked if I could use a 3 way switch installation in order to be able to turn the light off from the upper half of the stairs (existing wiring), but that is not possible. I asked if I could bypass their smart receiver nonsense and just use a switch like a normal person, but that is not possible. So, in short, if you like the look of the fan, the amount of air it puts out, and the light it puts out, you are destined to always hoof it down the stairs in order to use their crappy wall mounted remote. Knowing this, I would choose a different fan.

Great

The installation is not hard but the blades are a b! Just because it feels like you need 3 hands to hold, stabilize and screw them in. But it works great.
