Would have been 5 stars but . . . (1) The procedure for attaching the light kit to the fan housing is so convoluted that the Youtube video says "installing the light kit is a real challenge. It appears they made it mcuh more difficult than it needs to be. Our advice is to keep trying until you get it right." Gee, thanks. My advice is that TWO of you read that portion of the instructions at least three times and do so with the applicable pieces in front of you to better understand the "challenge". Then both of you install the unit. Also, consider doing a "dry run" without the wires being connected, just to hang the light kit itself to see how it's done. (2) I don't like being sold used goods marketed as new. Everything except the remote appeared to be new. But the remote had been opened, had a screw missing, and contained a dead battery - which presented itself as a problem with the fan itself to the point that I was a couple of minutes away from taking it down and troubleshooting the circuit connections. Thank God I decided to check the circuit breakers, then the battery. Overall, the fan itself is very nice looking and is quiet and functional, but each of these factors cost it a star.

Love this fan!!

As a first time homeowner, one of the most important things to me was having fans in the house. I purchased an attached townhouse which only has windows on the ends of the unit. The airflow can tend to be limited if there is no fan in place. As such, I started doing my research on fan installation and options. After purchasing and installing, I can confidently say that I am so ecstatic with my decision. Pros: - My guest bedroom is very small (8x11 ft) so I needed a unit that fit the space and was not too bulky. The glass encasing on the light leaves the room feeling open while the metal mount is fresh and classy. - The ceiling height is 7.5 ft so I needed a flush mount. This fan worked perfectly and doesn’t feel like I will hit my head as I navigate the room. - I have never installed a fan before. I pride myself on being DIY savvy but had never rewired electricity. The instruction manual made it super easy to understand. - I mentioned briefly, but the fan is very aesthetically pleasing. My house is more modern with a touch of farmhouse. - The fan blades are reversible. One side is darker brown, the other is almost like white oak. Both are beautiful. I think I will switch things around every year or so. - The remote is super easy to mount and use. I love having that feature even though I can also use my wall switch. - Great value for the price. A lot of similar fans are double the cost. - The air flow/ fan speed are excellent. The 3 different speeds help you adjust to what you need. Cons: - It is not a smart fan. It does not have the capability of connecting to Alexa or other voice enabled devices. That’s fine for me because my house is only 1100 square feet. I keep the remote on my nightstand so it serves a similar purpose. - The glass encasing for the light does get smudged when touched. This requires you to either carefully clean or detach and clean that way. I have already purchased and installed the larger version of this fan (52 inches) in my Master! Highly recommend.

Nothing Special

The main issue is the light is not very bright. Put a 100W equivalent in as a replacement and did not get much improvement. For the price I would not purchase again.

Beautiful fan, complementary to a more modern decor

Reliable Hunter fan with a sense of contemporary style. I swapped out the LED Edison bulb for something stronger, and made a huge difference, though the remote does not seem to be as responsive. Pleased with the fan and functionality, but the modern look is much more pleasing than traditional 3 or 4-light fans.

Nice but wabbles

The media could not be loaded. The fan is awesome .. it's very quiet..modern design.. BUT ... The glass is very wabbling ..and is kinda annoying.. I need to buy one more ..but I am not sure ... 4 stars just because of that.

Poor design quality

You get what you pay for. To start with the way in which the motor hangs in the ceiling mount needs improvement. A square in a slot dependent on two #8 screws to hold it in place just doesn't work well. This same design gives a tremendous amount of trouble when trying to attach the blades later on. The gray fan was the second of items in the same order. With the first black fan I had to ream out the powder coating from the fan blade mounting holes before I could ever make the mounting screws align with the motor mounting base. I had to take down the fan 3 times before being successful. I have installed well over 30 ceiling fans in my time as a home repair handyman and these were the worse I have ever encountered. In addition to the poor mounting scenario it is a nightmare trying to get the fan to balance out even after reinforcing the junction box in the ceiling.

Takes regular bulbs

Looks great! Get's the job done. The last ceiling fan I had was such a pain to change the light bulb and it was one of those horrible little chandelier bulbs.
